Welcome to Brown Eyed Baker’s very first giveaway!

A few weeks ago I was the lucky winner in Liliana’s giveaway of Field Guide to Cookies by Anita Chu of Dessert First, which was held over at My Cookbook Addiction.

How lucky was I! This is such a fantastic little book packed full of wonderful recipes. Pretty much any cookie you can think of is in there – everything from Amaretti, Black and White Cookies, and Macaroons to Baklava, Granola Bars, Gingersnaps, Rugelach, and much more for a total of 100 cookie recipes. I was most impressed by how many ethnic-inspired cookie recipes are included and can’t wait to give it a big workout come the holidays.

Due to some shipping issues that Liliana ran into, she ended up sending me two copies of the book and although both of them arrived to me safely she insisted that I keep both (what a sweet person!). Now I don’t want to be greedy and since it is such an amazing book, I want to share a copy with one of my lucky readers!

    Ooh I’ve been coveting this book since it came out! My favorite cookie recipe is my monster cookies: oatmeal chocolate chip m&m peanut butter. Sounds like flavor overload, but it’s perfect! Thanks for the giveaway :)

    My favorite cookie is No Bake Cookies. Yes, the very simple No Bake Cookies. Who doesn’t love the chocolate and peanut butter with oatmeal when warm. Oh good cold too. :)

    I think that good ol’ peanut butter cookies are my all time favorite…until Christmas time comes along, then I like to get my fill of the iced sugar cookies too. :-)

    I love your blog! I think my favorite cookies are pizelles. They are not my favorite in terms of taste, but for the memories of making them every Christmas with my mom. Now I get to do it with my kids!

    I have so many favorites but I think if I had to pick any cookie to eat today it would be a No Bake cookie. My Grandma (who was very much not the baker) used to make them for me all the time! Think I might have to whip up a batch tonight!

    I’d say my favorite cookie is plain old chocolate chip.

    But I also heart black and white cookies, peanut butter cookies, and anything with icing.

    Oooh, this sounds like a great book! My most favorite cookies in the world are the Butter Balls that my mom makes every Christmas. I only let myself have them around the holidays because otherwise I would happily chow down a dozen a day!

    These thin ginger cookies that my grandmother used to make, squished with a sugar coated glass. She would feed them to us when we arrived at her house late at night after driving all day.

    My favorite is White Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut Cranberry Cookies! My second favorite is Iced Sugar Cookies (I can’t wait to try your recipe from the weekend!). Would love a copy of that cookbook, my sisters and mother bake together at Christmas & are always looking for new ideas!

    My favorite cookies are the No Bake Cookies. I learned them from a babysitter and we don’t use peanut butter; just cocoa, oats, butter, sugar, and vanilla. My daughter would make these everyday if I let her!

    I have an awesome spice cookie dough from my Grandmother that I use at Christmas. From that one dough I make 4-5 different cookie…some with dried fruit, rum frosting & pecans, lemon frosting, etc. It’s not really sweet – more spicy.
