New Baby Onesie Cookies

One of my oldest and dearest friends had her second baby recently (another girl!) and I of course wanted to bring some sweets when I went to visit her and the new baby. I had picked up a set of Wilton baby cookie cutters
I used my standard sugar cookie recipe, and the same method for decorating as I described in the tutorial I posted over the summer, How to Decorate Cookies with Royal Icing. I did a variety of designs including the baby’s name, her monogram, some striped onesies, her birthday, hearts, and flowers. As always, I had a lot of fun decorating the sugar cookies.

Your cookies look so cute! I still can’t get over those amazing Pens cookies you did last year. I never eat sugar cookies, but I really want to give decorating a try. You make it look like it would be lots of fun. I don’t think mine will look as nice as yours though.

Today is my son’s 6-month birthday (his half birthday). Sounds like a great excuse for onesie cookies to me!

Love them! My neighbor is due with her 3rd baby in a few weeks and I always love a good excuse to make a batch of sugar cookies. I know the big brothers would love them!
