Me and my husband used lots of different wine openers throughout the years. From classic corkscrew, which is really hard to use for petite people like me, to electric wine opener, which seems great at first, however it's not as practical as it might seem. We decided that the best is Houdini Wine Opener. It has really easy learning curve and what's most important it's cheap and does what it has to do: removes corks.

The skillet is the most used thing in my kitchen (besides my chef’s knive)! It makes great pan style pizza and flat breads.

And the Omnivore’s Dilemma CHANGED MY LIFE. It you eat food you should be required to read it. Michael Pollan’s IN Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto is pretty good too!

I love my Keurig brewer. I had the regular one for a few years and got the Breville one for Christmas last year. It always brews the perfect cup!

LOVE all your ideas – but I’m pretty much browsing and thinking of only gifts for myself. Selfish, selfish GIRL! I met Ree and between me, my sister and my mom, we bought 9 of her cookbooks. I highly recommend. If cooking her stuff makes me look like her, then I’m gonna get after it! PS – I’m nervous about dipping my toe in the water of Julia Child – is cooking her stuff really as hard as it seemed in the movie?!?

I was seriously jonesing for the “I’m not a paper cup” until I saw one in the store. The silicon lid wasn’t tight at all, and seemed like a big accident waiting to happen. I did like the height–it was short enough to fit under the frother of my espresso maker that I use every morning. Plus, it was wide enough that it would hold enough latte to keep me going. But no way would I buy one of these without testing the lid first!

I’ve been using the Vinturi Wine Aerator for several years now…it’s the best invention that’s come on the market in ages!

Really makes a significant difference in the smoothness and overall taste of any wine!
