TELL ME! What is your hands-down, all-time favorite St. Patrick’s Day food?
Hi Michelle. I have been enjoying being a member of your site for many years now. Your recipes are wonderful! I have a question about the Guinness Cake with Baileys Cream Cheese Frosting. I really want to make this cake for a family corned beef dinner this weekend. The host, my sister has gluten allergies and its a real pain because I am the family dessert maker and I feel bad always doing desserts she cant eat and then I buy some lousy pre-packaged gluten fee dessert at the store for only her. I am not sure how much you know about working with gluten free flour, but do you have any idea if a recipe like this can be made gluten free with King Arthur gluten free flour? I would love to try it but don’t want to kill the recipe! Thanks
Hi Ruth, I have admittedly not done much experimenting with gluten-free baking, but I do know people who have had success using KAF gluten free flour, as well as the cup 4 cup brand. Please let me know if you try it and how it turns out!
Thank you for not calling it St Patty’s Day! So many Americans do that and it’s like fingernails on a blackboard. The proper nickname for Patrick is Paddy, not Patty!Â
I noticed you changed the name of the first cupcake in this list (#4)… haha… I’ve been following you long enough to remember the debacle over the original name! :-)
My birthday is the day after St. Paddy’s, and that grasshopper pie is CALLING MY NAME for a birthday dessert. Yum!
Haha! Debacle is definitely a good word for it ;-) Happy early birthday, enjoy that pie!!
Love the Lucky Charms treats! I’ve made those the past few years for St. Paddy’s Day.
These all look so good! I’m excited to try some of these next week!

Aren’t you sweet?!? Thank you so much for the linky love! :) I’ve missed chatting with you! :)
Such a great assortment! I’m a total sucker for shortbread, so I think I’m going to have to try out your chocolate dipped shortbread recipe this weekend. My 3-year-old just saw the picture of the shamrock cookies and said, “Ooooh, I need dat!” :)
Great looking St. Patty’s Day recipes!! I’m hoping to have an all green breakfast tomorrow:)
Can you give me a good sugar cookie frosting recipe? Mine never turns out smooth and lovely like on your shamrock cookies. It either runs off the side and never fully dries, or is too stiff and doesn’t flow right. Help!
The Shamrock Cookies are so cute!
I love Irish Soda Bread, my mom has made is since I was a wee one! She always stuck a little Irish flag on top…it’s yummy!
Hi Erica, I love Ghiradelli chocolate and use it for pretty much everything!
I love shortbread cookies because they aren’t too sweet and crunchy. Your recipe looks great! What’s a good meltable dark chocolate you like?
I am making Beef and Guinness stew – a recipe I have from my Gourmet Slow Cooker Cookbook! I cant wait! Erin Go Bragh!
A lot of people are waiting for St. Patrick’s Day. The recipes in here are definitely worth trying.
I’ve never tried Irish Soda Bread but if you say it’s good, then it must be!!
Hmmmm – these all sound delicious. You have just inspired me to make irish soda bread this weekend. Which I have never had but have heard is quite tasty.
I like the shamrock sugar cookies. They look awesome!
I’m making my Guinness Corned Beef & Cabbage, but one of these yummy desserts might be a nice ending to our meal!
Hey, I love ur Chocolate-Dipped Shortbread Cookies a lot. Such a perfected recipe it looks to be! Brilliant presentation too!!!
