January 22, 2011

I hope everyone is having a nice, safe winter and nobody has been too put out by the snow and ice. I’ve finally got my groove back in the kitchen and have been whipping up a nice variety of treats that I hope you’re enjoying. This week we saw some cookies, some salty snacks, and sweet desserts. Keep an eye out for the next two weeks – leading up to the Super Bowl will be tons of my favorite appetizers, dips, and easy desserts. My three favorite food groups!

Maple-Bacon Kettle Popcorn – Unbelievably sinful and every bit as good as you might imagine.

S’more Nut Bars – All the ingredients for s’mores, plus peanuts, in a bar. Genius!

Banana Cupcakes with Vanilla Pastry Cream – Banana cupcakes topped with big scoops of vanilla pastry cream.

I love the banana cupcakes recipe – can’t wait to give it a try. But the Maple-Bacon Kettle Corn definitely wins recipe of the week, in my opinion.
