The Weekend Dish: 1/22/2011

I hope everyone is having a nice, safe winter and nobody has been too put out by the snow and ice. I’ve finally got my groove back in the kitchen and have been whipping up a nice variety of treats that I hope you’re enjoying. This week we saw some cookies, some salty snacks, and sweet desserts. Keep an eye out for the next two weeks – leading up to the Super Bowl will be tons of my favorite appetizers, dips, and easy desserts. My three favorite food groups!

Now as always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy! :)

On Brown Eyed Baker This Week

Cranberry White Chocolate Chip Cookies – A great cookie for snow days!

Maple-Bacon Kettle Popcorn – Unbelievably sinful and every bit as good as you might imagine.

S’more Nut Bars – All the ingredients for s’mores, plus peanuts, in a bar. Genius!

Banana Cupcakes with Vanilla Pastry Cream – Banana cupcakes topped with big scoops of vanilla pastry cream.

Most Viewed Post This Week: Peanut Butter Cup Bars

What I Bookmarked This Week

Recipes from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like too:

Gorgeous combination of chocolate and banana – a perfect combination!

Chubby Hubby Brownies (Piece of Cake)
My favorite Ben & Jerry’s flavor! I can’t wait to try these brownies.

Cinnamon Streusel Pancakes (Two Peas and Their Pod)
These pancakes look so decadent! A weekend breakfast fit for a king!

Giant Double Chocolate Cookies (Annie’s Eats)
Oh the chocolate. These are ginormous and so chocolatey. Yum!

Jalapeño Cheddar Pigs in Blankets (Evil Shenanigans)
Great for your Super Bowl menu! I love the addition of jalapeños and cheddar.

Have a delicious weekend!

I love the banana cupcakes recipe – can’t wait to give it a try. But the Maple-Bacon Kettle Corn definitely wins recipe of the week, in my opinion. :)
