The Weekend Dish: 3/5/2011

This week was one of those uber rare weeks when I tackled just as many savory dishes as sweet ones, and I really enjoyed it! Admittedly (and not surprisingly), I am much more of a baker than a cook. I love toiling over an exquisite cheesecake, a complicated pastry or yeast recipe, but when 6pm rolls around I’m more likely to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a bowl of cereal or order a pizza than I am to spend time at the stove making any sort of complicated dinner. In an effort to eat better and cleaner I’m trying to change that. On top of the jambalaya and fish tacos I made this week, I also made soba noodles for the time – a stir fry recipe with an almond butter sauce. Delicious! Baby steps
Now as always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy! ![]()
