The Weekend Dish: 6/11/2011

Happy weekend everyone! My little container garden has gotten off to a wonderful start in just a week. I got everything planted last Saturday and one of my jalapeño plants has already blossomed, the blossom fell off and now there is an itsy bitsy pepper peaking out with a stem. Yay! All of the herbs are shooting up, thanks to the abundance of heat that we had this week. Speaking of jalapeños, I have eaten more than my fair share of salsa and guacamole with chips this week. I can’t get enough of the homemade salsa, and perfectly ripe avocados were just begging to be smashed up into wonderfully delicious guac. Yum! What goodies did you enjoy this week?

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy! :)
