Winner: $100 Giveaway

Congratulations to the winner of the $100 pay it forward giveaway, commenter #51 Mallory. Her cause of choice:
“National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associates Disorders, Inc.
Mallory, $100 will be donated to ANAD. Please email me to let me know if you would like the donation to be made in memory or in honor of someone, or if you would just like a general donation.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this giveaway. It’s something that I plan to do more often on the site, so please keep an eye out. It was great to hear about all of the worthy causes that so many of you are involved with, and I learned about countless organizations that I was not previously familiar with. Definitely a win-win for everyone involved!

Wow, this is one of the nicest giveaways I’ve ever seen. A friend of ours is currently struggling with anorexia but I didn’t realize this charity existed until seeing it here. Thanks for being so generous!
I don’t usually click over from google reader to comment but wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. You do an excellent job!

Congratulations to Mallory–this is a wonderful cause (as they all were), and I’m glad the money will go to raising awareness and aid for it.

Okay…I would have loved for my charity to have been chosen…because who does not like to win? But, thank you for the generous donation give-away. It was so nice to see everyone express concern for others instead of fall into “give me”. Recently one of the sites I am friends with on Facebook posted a question if you had one wish for anything what would it be…and I was sad to see so many think of only petty selfish things. Why wish for a clean house, when you could wish for a cure for cancer…or world peace…??? So, this made me feel a little better…and quite honestly I want to talk to my husband about making a charitable donation to St. Jude ourselves. The ripple effect of your “pay it forward” post.
Thanks again!

I wanted to enter this giveaway, but couldn’t decide which charity to choose. I’m sooo happy with the winning entry though. I struggled with anorexia for quite some time and weighed under 95 pounds at 5’7″. I’m happy to say that while I’m still recovering mentally, I’ve put on 20 pounds all by myself (and with a little help from some brown eyed baker recipes…haha) I love giveaways like this and think ANAD sounds like an awesome charity!

Congratulations to Mallory. I hope she enjoys the soda maker. I saw it at Broadway Panhandler the other day. Looks like a lot of fun.
