The Weekend Dish: 12/10/2011

I am fully entrenched in the holidays, thanks to lots of holiday baking this week, as well as playing Santa with the giveaways! I hope you all have been enjoying them as much as I have. I really took some time to think about the things that I really love and that I thought you all would enjoy too. Being Santa is fun! :)  I have much more holiday baking up my sleeve, so be prepared for even more recipes over the next two weeks, and of course the final five days of the “12 Days of Giveaways” this week. Now if only I could get my Christmas shopping done I would be in good shape!

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy!

Recipes from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like too:

Creme Brulee Fudge (Not Quite Nigella)
Oh my, creme brulee ranks up there as one of my top 3 non-chocolate desserts. This fudge has to be outstanding!

Pomegranate Pear Crumble Cups (How Sweet It Is)
This sounds so amazing, what a beautiful combination of flavors!

Salted Caramel Cheesecake (The Modern Apron)
Because I’m pretty sure that when it’s not with chocolate, salted caramel should have a hot and steamy love affair with cheesecake.

Thin Mint Truffles (Cookin’ Cowgirl)
LOVE the spin on Oreo Truffles using thin mint cookies. This would be great for St. Patrick’s Day!

Whiskey, Caramel, Marshmallow and Bacon Bark (Endless Simmer)
I’m literally speechless. I must get this in my belly immediately.

Have a delicious weekend!

    always enjoy “the weekend dish!”
i reviewed the recipe of the salted carmel cheesecake & would like to know what you think of the salt issue…do you think that even with the updated salt measurement it would still be too salty? thanks.
    have a “sweet” weekend!

Hi Linda, I haven’t tried this recipe yet, so I really can’t speculate on the salt amount, although that might be somewhat of a personal preference too (some people like things on the salt side, while others are turned off by it).
