On the 12th Day of Christmas… A KitchenAid Stand Mixer Giveaway! (Winner Announced)
UPDATE: The winner of the special edition KitchenAid mixer is:
#154 – Miss Christine: Her comment on being Brown Eyed Baker fan on Facebook was the winner. What she’s baking this holiday season:
“I am baking four recipes for holiday parties and two for the holidays! I I would LOVEE, to have that beauty in my kitchen!”
Congratulations Christine! You should have already received an email from me; make sure you reply with your mailing address so I can get your new KitchenAid mixer out to you!
Thanks everyone for entering, and thank you for making these 12 Days of Giveaways so much fun for me!

Welcome to Day 12 of the “12 Days of Giveaways”!
I’m totally bummed that today is the last day of the giveaways; I’ve had so much fun playing Santa! But, I wanted to end the twelve days with a big ol’ bang, and thought that this mixer fit the bill. I hope you all agree
Not only is this a KitchenAid stand mixer (my kitchen couldn’t survive without one!), but it has one of those oh-so-pretty glass bowls and, more importantly, sales of this special edition model benefit Susan G. Komen Cook for the Cure®’s effort to end breast cancer. So not only do you get a shiny (and gorgeous!) new toy, but I also get to donate to a good cause. It’s a holiday win-win!
Giveaway Details
The winner will receive one (1) KitchenAid Artisan Susan G. Komen Stand Mixer.

My girls and I have already tried the fantastic sugar cookie recipe and royal frosting recipe on this site – they were delicious and gobbled up quickly.
We will bake some more of those, plus we always make our famous fudge, peppermint merinques and a gingerbread stable/manger scene!

I already own a Kitchen Aid mixer – it’s fabulous. I’d love to win this one to send to my dear friend Michelle, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last Christmas and had surgery 3 days after Christmas. She’s an amazing woman who has been battling this disease all year and is finally done with treatment. Now she’s waiting for reconstruction surgery. I’d love for her to have this mixer on her counter for sure and make all kinds of goodies for her boys!!!

Oh my goodness. This is SO CUTE! I can’t tell you how much I would love to have this mixer in my kitchen. I have about 10 things I’m making for Christmas eve and Christmas alone, and that’s not even counting all the things I’m going to bake in the next week!

The only thing I am certainly making is blackberry apple pie for Christmas dinner. Other than that, everything is a toss up. Things have been requested, and I have recipes out, but I just haven’t quite felt the motivation to bake. Death at Christmastime really sucks the joy out of things (especially when you lose your baking mentor).

I have already made some (34) pumpkin rolls with my sister and cousins. I am also making snowball cookies (Cresent balls w/ hershey kisses inside), toffee squares, hello dolly squares, peanut butter blossoms and maybe one other, but I’m not sure. Depends how much time I have.
This is the best giveaway yet – it’s even Cook for the Cure! I’m planning to bake about four or five different things this holiday season – lots of your chewy cookies, pumpkin pie bars, apple hand pies, wedding cookies, and maybe those chocolate peppermint whoopie pies for all the parties and potlucks we’re going to.
I am planning on making a recipe from Picky Palate using only 2 ingredients, (PB cups and an egg!) as well as smoked salmon puffs, YOUR gingerbread, YOUR peanut butter fudge cheesecake, and 6 batches of YOUR banana bread.
I’ll be baking 7 or 8 different things. I’ll be making panettone bread pudding, eggnog cheesecake bars, Christmas cakes shaped as gingerbread men, Christmas trees and candy canes, macaroons, chocolate crackle cookies, peanut butter blossoms, and peppermint frosted chocolate cookies…and maybe rum balls too!
I normally do gingerbread, sugar cookies, and some sort of candy (LOVE making buckeyes). Then for christmas eve/day I’ll bake a pumpkin pie and blueberry cheesecake.

What I plan to bake? Oh just about everything! Traditional and new cookies, my dad’s no-really-it’s-awesome fruitcake, and who knows what else!
I’ve already made several things… peppermint bark, fudge (for the first time!), 5lbs of cinnamon-sugar almonds…. I have a TON more things I want to more make, but it’s just the four of us this Christmas since we aren’t traveling, so I have a hard time convincing myself to make everything for just us (mostly because I’m afraid I’ll eat it all!). Would it be weird to make holiday desserts AFTER Christmas when my husband goes back to work after leave from the Navy, so he can share all of the treats with his shipmates?
