Welcome to Day 12 of the “12 Days of Giveaways”!

I’m totally bummed that today is the last day of the giveaways; I’ve had so much fun playing Santa! But, I wanted to end the twelve days with a big ol’ bang, and thought that this mixer fit the bill. I hope you all agree :)   Not only is this a KitchenAid stand mixer (my kitchen couldn’t survive without one!), but it has one of those oh-so-pretty glass bowls and, more importantly, sales of this special edition model benefit Susan G. Komen Cook for the Cure®’s effort to end breast cancer. So not only do you get a shiny (and gorgeous!) new toy, but I also get to donate to a good cause. It’s a holiday win-win!

    This holiday season I plan on baking my usual assortment of Christmas cookies which include sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, snicker doodles, gingersnaps red velvet woopie pies with peppermint cream cheese filling, rum balls, eggnog cheesecake, and a pecan pie. I told my boyfriend that I wanted a kitchenaid mixer for christmas, but it would be so awesome to win this one!

    Right now I have 6 things planned to bake for my family over my winter break. I haven’t been home in 6 months so I need to make up for lost time! I’ve been mixing and whipping everything I do by hand for years and a standing mixer is my number 1 desired kitchen appliance!

    I don’t have a stand mixer, so everything takes a bit of extra effort. Consequently, I won’t be making that much. But there are definitely some cookies on the way for the delivery men at my job who always get met with disappointment when we receive new boxes to unpack. They need to know they’re doing a great job, even though we don’t usually want what they’re bringing us.

    I plan on baking a lot of gifts! Banana breads (several varieties), snickerdoodles, chocolate crinkles, and oatmeal cookies (several varieties). I also have already made some appetizers like taco rings, crescent rolls, and yummy enchiladas.

    I’ve already baked a load of cookies, but I imagine that over the next week or so I’ll bake a few more (maybe 4 differnt things). Thanks for the killer giveaway. A Kitchen Aid has been on my list for the past 3 years, and my husband already told me that he’s handing me a IOU again this year.     I’ve already done a bit of baking. I made eggnog cupcakes, peppermint bark and mini oreo cheesecakes. I have tomorrow off from work, so I am planning on making some gingerbread and maybe some shortbread. And some truffles if I have time. I would also like to make some poppycock (caramel corn) with my mom :)

    How many??? Already have three different sweet breads of various sizes, Soft Molasses Cookies and am still working on 2 more breads and at least one more cookie.
