Welcome to Day 12 of the “12 Days of Giveaways”!

I’m totally bummed that today is the last day of the giveaways; I’ve had so much fun playing Santa! But, I wanted to end the twelve days with a big ol’ bang, and thought that this mixer fit the bill. I hope you all agree :)   Not only is this a KitchenAid stand mixer (my kitchen couldn’t survive without one!), but it has one of those oh-so-pretty glass bowls and, more importantly, sales of this special edition model benefit Susan G. Komen Cook for the Cure®’s effort to end breast cancer. So not only do you get a shiny (and gorgeous!) new toy, but I also get to donate to a good cause. It’s a holiday win-win!

    Great Site. I have not baked anything from it. Read a few cookies and cupcake recipes. I saw the handscrub on Facebook. I will try that. While I hear, I saw the Mixer give away. I want that! I just subscribed to your feed.

    I’m visiting family out of state for the holidays, so I probably won’t get to do too much baking. But I think I’ll find time to squeeze in a cheesecake for the in-laws and some sort of yummy pastry-item for Xmas morning. :)

    For the holidays we always bake sugar cookies, gingerbread cookies, and kourabiedes which is a traditional Greek cookie we love! We also do lemon bars and carrot cake for my dad!

    I’m not really planning on baking many things this Christmas. I’ll probably do a few batches of sugar cookies, chocolate sugar cookies, and a couple of family favorites like rugelach and hershey bar cookies. If I miraculously won the mixer I’m sure I’d be tempted to bake all day long every day for at least a month!

    This will be the first year in a long time that I will not be able to do my christmas baking. Every year i make close to 500 cookies and give them to my close family and friends. I am in nursing school this year so between the schedule and student budget…the only cookie I will be baking this year are my great-grandmother’s pizzelles because in an Italian familiy it is not Christmas without them
