Welcome to Day 12 of the “12 Days of Giveaways”!

I’m totally bummed that today is the last day of the giveaways; I’ve had so much fun playing Santa! But, I wanted to end the twelve days with a big ol’ bang, and thought that this mixer fit the bill. I hope you all agree :)   Not only is this a KitchenAid stand mixer (my kitchen couldn’t survive without one!), but it has one of those oh-so-pretty glass bowls and, more importantly, sales of this special edition model benefit Susan G.     This is our first Christmas where we have a lot of room to bake! so I will be making a variety of christmas goodies. I will be making no bake cookies, peppermint chip cookies, a raspberry trifle, and some sort of cheesecake not sure which flavor yet, thinking about making an eggnog cheesecake!

    I love this mixer! I have a trusty ol’ hand-held mixer that I’ve used to bake three different kinds of cookies already. We’re traveling this Christmas, so I can’t go overboard! I’ve also made your Peppermint Bark for the 2nd year – love love love it!

    I don’t have an exact count on the goodies I will be cooking this holiday season, but I am already up to 7 :) I choose this year to make a list of quick treats to make so I was still able to bake during the busy week when more pressed for time. The kids have really enjoyed it.

    You have some great recipes, I just found you and I am digging through your archives. I have just gotten done baking 3 different kinds of cookies – Shortbread, a glutenfree Walnut Marzipan Macaroon & the Nieman Marcus Cookies. Hopefully I will get a second win next week and can make a few more of our favorite cookies, including Almond Crescents, a spice cookie from Germany and some Buckeyes.

    I plan on baking a lot this holiday season, my boyfriend has become one of the oldest people to outgrow an anaphylactic egg allergy this past year, and I want to bake him as many treats as possible so he can catch up on the past 20 years!
