On the 12th Day of Christmas… A KitchenAid Stand Mixer Giveaway! (Winner Announced)
UPDATE: The winner of the special edition KitchenAid mixer is:
#154 – Miss Christine: Her comment on being Brown Eyed Baker fan on Facebook was the winner. What she’s baking this holiday season:
“I am baking four recipes for holiday parties and two for the holidays! I I would LOVEE, to have that beauty in my kitchen!”
Congratulations Christine! You should have already received an email from me; make sure you reply with your mailing address so I can get your new KitchenAid mixer out to you!
Thanks everyone for entering, and thank you for making these 12 Days of Giveaways so much fun for me!

Welcome to Day 12 of the “12 Days of Giveaways”!
I’m totally bummed that today is the last day of the giveaways; I’ve had so much fun playing Santa! But, I wanted to end the twelve days with a big ol’ bang, and thought that this mixer fit the bill. I hope you all agree
Not only is this a KitchenAid stand mixer (my kitchen couldn’t survive without one!), but it has one of those oh-so-pretty glass bowls and, more importantly, sales of this special edition model benefit Susan G. Komen Cook for the Cure®’s effort to end breast cancer. So not only do you get a shiny (and gorgeous!) new toy, but I also get to donate to a good cause. It’s a holiday win-win!

The winner will receive one (1) KitchenAid Artisan Susan G. Komen Stand Mixer.

At minimum once for me, but my husband will probably bake 3-4 items. I’ve had to stop baking because our hand mixer is too difficult for my to use with some of my health conditions. However, my husband loves to bake and on a whim will decide to bake cookies.
Always have two baking days. One all day event with my best friend since sixth grade. Baking cookies and goodies. And one day we spend baking with my husband’s grandmother making red velvet cakes for Christmas eves. Making goodies is a blast but the memories you make doing it is ten times better. Happy Holidays to all.
I’ve baked some oreos “on steroids” haha, and my favorite is “All Time Favorite chocolate chip cookies” from Southern Living. A Red Velvet cake is a must for Christmas. My grandmother always had one baked for me at the holidays, so now I continue that.

) and I plan on making a gingerbread house, all the ensuing icing for that, as well as another batch or two of cookies here and there.

I am lucky if I can get away with about 10 different things that I make each year. Between my two kids and their school activities and my husband and his work activities, I stay busy in the kitchen this time of year. But I love it and would not have it any other way.

I was just telling my friend I might be a little ambitious because I was to bake 5 different cookies, but also make 5 other goodies, while somehow managing my two little ones, (2 years; 9 weeks). We’ll see how it goes

I’ll be baking some pumpkin walnut bread and making some truffles and possibly fudge to give as gifts to my boyfriend’s family and friends…whom I’m meeting for the first time this coming week!
Xmas isn’t the same if I don’t have a big table set with cakes, sweets and deserts. Its a tradition here in Portugal to set the table on xmas eve and only remove it on the 6th of January. So this means I will be baking nearly everyday to make sure that nothing is missing on my table, so that all my family and friends can enjoy and have sweet xmas. I love this time of the year and LOVE baking
Merry Xmas to all!!

Probably 5 different things not counting Christmas Eve and Day, that’s cutting back alot this year, so sad.
I don’t really do much festive (my family’s far away), but I’ve got a duck in the freezer I’m planning on cooking for a friend and myself, and I’m pretty excited to see how that turns out!
I am aiming for about 10 different things. Once school lets out for Christmas break, I should have a little more time.
