The Weekend Dish: 12/17/2011

It’s the last full weekend before Christmas! Are you shopping like a madman? Baking up a storm? Or maybe just relaxing with some hot chocolate and holiday movies? Unfortunately, I’m still behind the eight-ball in the shopping department but didn’t want to be anywhere near stores today, as I figured it was bound to be mayhem. So I’m planning to finish up my shopping on Tuesday or Wednesday, pleeeeeeeenty of time to spare :) I have tons of baking to do starting on Monday so I’m just going to relax and cheer on my fantasy football teams tomorrow, and hopefully they’ll both make it to their respective Super Bowls, fingers crossed!

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy!

Thank you for the link back to my pistachio brittle post! I’m preparing to make several batches of it tomorrow to give away as gifts. Hopefully you and/or some of your readers will feel inspired to do the same. Fair warning: it’s ridiculously addictive. Salt and sweet are my holiday nemesis for sure.
