The Best of Brown Eyed Baker in 2011: The 10 Most Popular Recipes

As 2011 winds to a close it’s time for the annual roundup of the most popular recipes that were posted during the year. It wouldn’t be a New Year’s Eve weekend without it! As usual, there were a variety of treats that made the list but surprisingly only one cookie! It seems that this year’s list was pretty evenly split between appetizers, cupcakes and chocolate/peanut butter concoctions. I always look forward to putting this list together and uncovering which of the recipes were among the reader favorites for the year. So much fun! Enjoy the little trip down the foodie memory lane; perhaps you’ll even uncover a recipe you missed or forgot about it!
(View roundups from previous years here: 2010, 2009, 2008, and 2007.)
9. Homemade Restaurant-Style Salsa
5. Peanut Butter Cup Crunch Brownie Bars
3. Homemade Peanut Butter Cups
2. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies
And now, the most popular recipe posted on Brown Eyed Baker during 2011…
:: drum roll ::
Stay tuned… tomorrow I’ll be sharing a list of my favorite recipes from 2011 that didn’t make the list above!

I have made quite a few of your recipes this year. The one recipe I made the most was your grandma’s banana bread! Delish! I also made your triple chocolate cookies, oreo cheesecake cookies, beer and brown sugar kielbasa and sauerkraut, buffalo chicken dip and thick and chewy chocolate chip cookies. I am sure I made more, but those are the ones that immediately popped in my head. I can’t wait to see what your cook/bake up in 2012! Happy New Year!

My favorite was the IRISH CAR BOMB cupcakes too! I’ve made them at least a dozen times this past year. They freeze well even with the frosting, and EVERYONE loves them! They are the moistest cupcakes I’ve ever tasted and they are so delicious. The frosting is heavenly and I never knew I could bake until I made these.

Happy 2012!
