20 New Favorite Recipes [Winter 2011-12]

Yesterday was the first day of spring and I kicked off the season by rounding up 95 of my favorite recipes for this time of year. I didn’t want to let winter go completely, though, without rounding up some of my personal favorites from the last few months. I did a smaller-scale roundup towards the end of last summer and decided to pick it up on a quarterly basis, as much for myself as for you! I go through a ton of recipes throughout the weeks and months, so taking the time at the end of every season to hand pick my favorites is a great way for me to remember the recipes I loved, as well as to narrow things down for you. You all see a ton of recipes here, so I’m sure knowing which ones stood out as my favorites may help you prioritize your own “to bake” lists. I figure that the end of a season is as good a time as any, so the following 20 recipes are my favorites from December 22, 2011 (the first day of winter) through March 19, 2012 (the last day of winter). They appear in the order in which they were posted. Enjoy browsing my favorites!
1. Baked French Toast Casserole with Praline Topping

2. World’s Best Pimento Cheese Ball

7. Greek Custard Pie (Galaktoboureko)

9. Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Bars

10. Date Bars

11. Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

16. Texas Sheet Cake

17. Peanut Butter and Jelly Cupcakes

19. Irish Whiskey Soda Bread with Irish Whiskey Butter

20. Irish Beer and Cheese Bread

What was your favorite recipe from the last few months??

Everything looks delicious

I’m so excited the oatmeal carmelita bars made it into your Top 20! I made them and they turned out great, and they’re so easy, too! Even though they are rich, it’s seriously hard to stop eating them. How did I miss that you made Texas Sheet Cake? And that gorgeous French toast? Oh man, I need to study this particular post very carefully. Everything you do is top notch. Thank you!
