The Weekend Dish: 4/14/2012

Happy weekend! I hope that you’ve had a great post-holiday week; I’ve spent mine trolling Easter leftovers and have had my fair share of remaining peanut butter eggs. I’m pretty sure I could eat one of those every single day for the rest of my life and never get tired of them. This week was also exciting in that we upgraded my mom from her 16-year-old, 25-inch TV to a shiny new 46-incher. Yay for fun new toys! I’ve also been working on getting my Pinterest boards organized and creating food categories that mimic the categories here on the site so you can more easily find different types of food that I’m drooling over. I’ll give you a heads up once it’s completed, but feel free to mosey on over and take a peek and let me know what you think! I’m always look for suggestions about the types of boards you’d like to see, so feel free to share in the comments below.

Cinnamon-Sugar Rice Pudding with Bourbon-Soaked Raisins – I am an official rice pudding convert, thanks to this recipe. It’s like risotto for dessert! Amazing!

    I made your peanut butter eggs for easter, I never ate any as I gave them away to everyone as “favors” for Easter. But everyone who I gave them to, raved about how fabulous they tasted. This will definitely be another item I make. Thanks again for all your great recipes.

    I’ve been meaning to write forever! My son’s 3rd grade class agreed to be my guinea pigs this year when I try new recipe’s. Most of the recipe’s have been yours (they have all been my fav) I made, your Dad chocolate cake yesterday and served it to the kids, teachers (who somehow are now a part of the experiment) and some parents this Friday. YUM…everyone loved it and I’ve had to pass on the recipe to these great little 8/9 year olds and some others :) I love that the kids want the recipe and all of them want me to make their birthday cakes now! I just wanted you to know your part in that and that your yummy recipes are being passed on to the little ones.
