A couple of weeks ago I remembered that July is National Ice Cream Month and set about having a fabulous time churning up tons of fun frozen treats. You might remember my ice cream roundup of favorite flavors, a whole week dedicated to homemade ice cream toppings, and a crazy awesome banana split ice cream cake. While I enjoy ice cream all year round and don’t need much encouragement to bust out the ice cream bowl and try a new flavor, summer is so full of bright and fresh ingredients that it’s the perfect time to experiment. Since getting my ice cream maker attachment nearly 4 years ago, I can count on one hand how many times I’ve purchased store-bought ice cream. Homemade is infinitely better; the difference is astonishing. Plus, you can play around with different flavors and experiment ’til your heart’s content! Everyone should know the joy of churning ice cream at home, so in an attempt to further that goal, I’m giving away a fun package of ice cream goodies to get your homemade ice cream-making off the ground!     Oh my goodness!! What an AWESOME giveaway! I’ve been CRAVING ice cream for the last month, but haven’t wanted to buy the unhealthy stuff and don’t have an ice cream maker (and no energy for the non-maker method). I think the last flavor of ice cream I ate (more than 1 yr ago!) was probably vanilla, with chocolate fudge sauce. :)
