The Weekend Dish: 8/4/2012

Happy weekend, everyone! I hope you’ve all had a great week that included some fun and good food. Can you believe it’s August already?! How did the last month of summer creep up on us like this? This summer has absolutely flown by! At least August brings us National Peach Month – they’re in their prime and begging to be used up in all sorts of awesome baked goods. I can’t wait to get my hands on some of those sweet beauties.

Have you been watching the Olympics? I have been pretty much glued to the events morning, noon and night, and going to bed much too late on more than one occasion. I just can’t get enough! I love watching the swimming and gymnastics, but this year I’ve been watching a lot more events. Who knew water polo was such a crazy violent sport?! I’ve really been enjoying watching everything, and it’s been a great change of pace while summer TV is in a lull :)

    I made Tracey’s pulled pork yesteday for my parents (I also made her jalapeno chedder buns). Huge hit! Word of warning: it feeds a crowd!
