If you’ve been reading this site for some time, you know that I’m a huge fan of America’s Test Kitchen and Cook’s Illustrated. They are my go-to when I’m looking for a classic recipe or a hard-to-master technique. Their approach to recipes and all of the working and re-working they do results in guaranteed kitchen success. I can’t ever remember being disappointed by one of their recipes; they all just work. This fall, America’s Test Kitchen released a number of new cookbooks and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them.
The Complete America’s Test Kitchen TV Show Cookbook and The Complete Cook’s Country TV Show Cookbook are compilations of the recipes, reviews and tests from all of the seasons for each show. They’re definitely a foodie gold mine!
The America’s Test Kitchen DIY Cookbook is a dream come true for anyone who loves to tackle from-scratch kitchen projects. I’ve been doing more of this over the past year, and this book just pushed me further over the edge. The book includes amazing homemade versions of yogurt, mozzarella, root beer, torrone, ketchup, pickles and even prosciutto! It’s a given that I’m going to attempt every single recipe in this book!
The Science of Good Cooking is both a resource book and a cookbook, explaining and illustrating 50 basic cooking concepts that the home cook can use to gain a better understanding of the science behind ingredients and methods, and how to make them work successfully together. Along with the explanations are over 400 recipes to go along with the concepts. A fantastic kitchen resource!
America’s Test Kitchen recently launched their own Cooking School, where you have access to over 100 courses that you can take at your own pace. The courses include photography, video, illustrations and even quizzes. You even have the ability to communicate one-on-one with the ATK test cooks if you need guidance or would like to receive feedback.

My favorite cookbook is “Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day: The Discovery That Revolutionizes Home Baking.” Great methods to allow for fresh bread anytime; even after working a full day I can have fresh bread with dinner.

Awesome giveaway! My favorite cookbook(s) are actually the Everyday Food series of magazines by Martha Stewart. I know they’re not really a cookbook, but I like the simple recipes with short ingredient lists and I find myself going back to these, even the old issues which I keep in my cabinet, all the time.

My favorite cookbook is Taste of Home 2, which is a collection of hometown recipes from Lexington, NC. It includes a wide variety of recipes that a home cook enjoys cooking for her family and friends for all events and occasions. Many have been passed down through families, baked at Church bazaars, and served at barbecue dinners with our famous Lexington barbecue.
My go to cookbook for 45 yrs has been the Better Homes and Garden 3 ring book. But I have also been using Cooks Country and American Kitchen magazines for the last 6 yrs.
My favorite cookbook is Rachel Khoos “Little Paris Kitchen” and I follow you via FB, Pinterest AND Email

My most used cookbook is my homemade one. Since I was a teen I’ve been collecting recipes from friends and family and magazines and websites. Some I’ve saved are as they were given to me while others I’ve tweaked to our liking. Would love these books—I’ve actually bee n to the ATK test kitchens! Cool

I have many favorite cookbooks, but the one that means the most to me is the old notebook I have that has hand wriiten recipes from my mom, grandmother and several other family members.
The BEST Recipe is fantastic.
It may seem silly, but my favorite cookbook is an old Betty Crocker one that my mom has had for over 20 years!
