If you’ve been reading this site for some time, you know that I’m a huge fan of America’s Test Kitchen and Cook’s Illustrated. They are my go-to when I’m looking for a classic recipe or a hard-to-master technique. Their approach to recipes and all of the working and re-working they do results in guaranteed kitchen success. I can’t ever remember being disappointed by one of their recipes; they all just work. This fall, America’s Test Kitchen released a number of new cookbooks and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them.
The Complete America’s Test Kitchen TV Show Cookbook and The Complete Cook’s Country TV Show Cookbook are compilations of the recipes, reviews and tests from all of the seasons for each show. They’re definitely a foodie gold mine!
The America’s Test Kitchen DIY Cookbook is a dream come true for anyone who loves to tackle from-scratch kitchen projects. I’ve been doing more of this over the past year, and this book just pushed me further over the edge. The book includes amazing homemade versions of yogurt, mozzarella, root beer, torrone, ketchup, pickles and even prosciutto! It’s a given that I’m going to attempt every single recipe in this book!
The Science of Good Cooking is both a resource book and a cookbook, explaining and illustrating 50 basic cooking concepts that the home cook can use to gain a better understanding of the science behind ingredients and methods, and how to make them work successfully together. Along with the explanations are over 400 recipes to go along with the concepts. A fantastic kitchen resource!
America’s Test Kitchen recently launched their own Cooking School, where you have access to over 100 courses that you can take at your own pace. The courses include photography, video, illustrations and even quizzes. You even have the ability to communicate one-on-one with the ATK test cooks if you need guidance or would like to receive feedback.
Today, I’m thrilled to be giving away ALL of these goodies (including a membership to the cooking school)! Read below for instructions on how to enter!
