The Weekend Dish: 11/17/2012

Happy weekend! Here we are, the weekend before Thanksgiving! Wow, how did we get here already?! I hope that you are further along with your meal planning than I am! I have a pretty good idea of everything we need to make, but need to finalize the plans. What are you making for the holiday? Any old family favorites, or trying some new recipes? I love Thanksgiving, and I love the next day, which makes it officially okay for me to start living and breathing Christmas. I see an Elf movie marathon in my future! :)

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy!

On Brown Eyed Baker This Week

Salted Caramel Apple Cheesecake Pie – A fabulous layered dessert! Graham cracker crust, caramel, pecans, apples, cheesecake and fresh whipped cream combine for something truly spectacular.

Mrs. Waterman’s Stuffed Mushrooms – My favorite stuffed mushrooms recipe, perfect for the holidays or as a game day appetizer.

Pumpkin Roll – Such a traditional Thanksgiving dessert; I’m so thrilled to have finally made one myself!

Cheesy Creamed Corn Casserole – Cheesy, creamy casseroles are a must at our holiday table, and this easy corn casserole is at the top of the must-make list.

Friday Things – Movies, coffee, Target, crocheting, and more!

Thanks so much for including my popcorn. I bookmarked your salted caramel apple cheesecake pie so I guess we’re swapping dishes. It just looks so sinful. Which I love. What’s life without stretchy waistbands anyway.

Thanksgiving is pretty untraditional for me. My parents and I have prime rib. I think I may make sweet potato pie. It’s a very relaxing day and I love it. However I don’t know where the time went. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving :)

Thanks so much, Michelle, for linking up and previously pinning my Chocolate cake with Baileys! I am glad it caught your eye and would have gladly shared some :)

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving Week. I need to make a pumpkin pie for my daughter’s class but if I didn’t, I reallllly am tempted to make your pumpkin roll. I still may!
