The Weekend Dish 12/8/2012

Happy Saturday! I hope you’ve had a great week and that your weekend is off to a great start! I’m spending some time today doing some Christmas baking with my mom; I’m excited to start churning out some holiday cookies! I also have a baking date with my grandma for Monday afternoon. I’m hoping I can get my Christmas cards written and mailed out by the beginning of the week, as well. I love this time of year! Do you have anything festive planned for this weekend?
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy!

I’m a regular reader and just popped back today to get your fantastic recipe for Brussels Sprouts and Bacon Gratin, which is just delicious. Having tried it once I highly recommend it to other readers and wanted to thank you for posting it – even the kids asked for seconds! No plain sprouts for us on Christmas day ever again. Now having seen the mouthwatering holiday specials above, and the Pistachio Brittle in particular, I feel another baking session upon me. Have a great weekend.
