Brown Eyed Baker's 6th Birthday!

Six years ago today, in this little corner of the Internet, I wrote about Italian Wedding Soup and shared the recipe with whoever was reading (presumably, only my mom and my sister). Since then, this site has grown into more than I could have ever imagined, thanks in large part to all of you! You’ve shared life’s ups and downs with me, as well as countless kitchen adventures.

    I made your DARK CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES w/PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING for my sister-in-law who loves Sprinkles Cupcakes in Chicago…and I have to tell you we thought it was BETTER than Sprinkles!!

    I’m brand new to your website, but so excited to see your creative (and gorgeous) baking and recipes. Hubby is an out of work Surveyor who decided to take up long haul truck driving… so I’m always looking forward to him coming home, and trying to bake goodies for him to take on the road. Last night was BUCKEYE BROWNIES… They came out beautifully, and truth be told, I had to taste test them of course! Absolutely divine! He will love them. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.     I love the nutroll recipe with the picture of the original handwritten card. I searched and searched for a recipe that was the same as my grandmothers and made dozens of nut roll until I found yous! The taste brings fond memories of christmas with my grandparents and a tradition I can continue with my family.
