The Weekend Dish: 6/23/2013

Happy weekend to all of you! I hope you’re enjoying a coupe of relaxing days and staying cool if it’s hot in your neck of the woods. We celebrated my grandfather’s 87th birthday yesterday with lunch and an Oreo dessert that I’ll be sharing with you tomorrow (Oreos have always been his favorite!). Today I’m going to work on weeding the landscaping in the front yard and hope I don’t melt! It’s our first serious heat wave of the season; I’m not acclimated yet! What are you up to this weekend?

    You bookmarked some great links this week! I love the momofuku cookbook. It’s the book I reach for most often from my ever growing collection. I’ve also mail ordered from there a few times – so worth the crazy prices.

    What a great dessert. It reminds me of a layered puddin dessert that my aunt used to make when I was growing up. It was my favorite, but it didn’t have Oreos like this one. The Oreos must make it even better!
