#3,350 – David W: “Subscribed via RSS”

Congratulations, David! Be sure to reply to the email you’ve been sent, and your new Crock-Pot Slow Cooker will be shipped out to you!

Enter to win a Crock-Pot Digital Slow Cooker with iStir Stirring System on www.browneyedbaker.com!

I am a huge, huge fan of slow cooker meals; I feel like there’s something nearly magical about the whole process. You put in raw cuts of meat, vegetables, seasonings, sometimes sauces, and then you literally walk away. Hours and hours later, you have a meal and you barely had to do anything! Sometimes, it even transforms food that you thought you didn’t care for into something you become totally addicted to eating, like the Beer and Brown Sugar Kielbasa & Sauerkraut. My mom always had a Crock-Pot slow cooker in the house; in fact, I was an adult before I realized that Crock-Pot was a brand name and that “slow cooker” was the actual term!

I have two Crock-Pots at my house and put them to work often. Crock-Pot just came out with a new product – a programmable slow cooker with a lid that has a built-in stirring mechanism. If you’re cooking a recipe that would benefit from being stirred every so often, this will do it for you. No worrying about forgetting, or that every time you lift the lid, a ton of steam and heat escape. And if you’re cooking something that doesn’t need stirred? Not a problem; the slow cooker comes with a regular lid as well, so just pop that one on, and it’ll cook like normal.

Today, I’m giving away one of these Crock-Pot Digital Slow Cookers with the iStir Stirring System! Everyone needs a slow cooker in their life, right?! Read below for details on how to enter…

My favorite would be a vegetable soup made up of seven vegetables that get so mushy that all you have to do is stir when it’s done. Just put them all in along with the spices and then just wait. Hot soup with some country bread and that’s it! Nice Dinner…or even lunch.

  7. Erica on January 21, 2014 at 5:34 am

I just made a new Crock-Pot meal last night that may be my favorite.
    Turkey kielbasa
    Red, yellow, and green peppers
    Onion
    Italian dressing

    It was so good!

  78. Megan on January 21, 2014 at 6:15 am

I think adding the stirring element was genius of Crock Pot! I’d love one of these. My favorite crockpot meals usually come together by throwing in a little of this and that from the fridge and cupboards–some veggies, protein (I usually go with beans), and a grain with some broth and spices to bring it all together. More liquid for soup, less for a casserole consistency…you really can’t go wrong!
