The Weekend Dish: 1/25/2014

Happy Saturday to you!

Do you have any big plans for the weekend? We are scheduled to have lunch at my sister’s today, but are in “play it by ear” mode since we’re supposed to get a moderate amount of snow today. If we do get it, then it will be a snowed in weekend for us, with more on the way tomorrow. I think I spy some homemade pizza in our future if that’s the case! I’m not going to lie, I adore getting snowstorms, so it wouldn’t bother me one bit!

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy!

What I Bookmarked This Week

Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like, too:

Cheese Stuffed Pretzel Bites with Rosemary Salt (In Sock Monkey Slippers)
Pretzels and cheese is like peanut butter and jelly… just meant to be together. These are a perfect Super Bowl snack!

Homemade Dulce de Leche (Smitten Kitchen)
I take jars of dulce de leche for granted and it has admittedly never occurred to me to make my own. This looks like a fun snow day project!

Huevos Rancheros (Heather Christo)
I don’t make nearly enough hot breakfasts, but I could certainly eat this every single day.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookie Bars (Love and Olive Oil)
I’ve been craving these since the moment they first flashed across my screen. They are the perfect trifecta of oats, peanut butter and chocolate!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Cheesecake Bites (Roxana’s Home Baking)
Cheesecake bars with an oatmeal cookie crust and an oatmeal raisin crumb topping. So awesome.

Have a delicious weekend!

Especially enjoy your weekend posts. The snow has started here, again, and homemade pizza will be tomorrow’s dinner. Love seeing the pictures of your dogs.

OMG – you changed the name of the Irish Car Bomb cupcakes!!! What made you finally do it? (FYI – I was on the side of leaving the name.) Was the name change why it was the most viewed, pinned, shared, tweeted, and emailed post?
