The Weekend Dish: 2/15/2014

Happy Saturday!

After two looooooong days of travel, we finally got to Florida yesterday evening and settled into our hotel. We’ll be doing a good bit of family things this weekend surrounding my husband’s grandfather’s memorial services, but hope to be able to carve out some time on Monday for a little fun before heading back to the cold and snow. What are you up to this weekend?

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy!

What I Bookmarked This Week

Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like, too:

Blood Orange Buttermilk Pound Cake (White On Rice Couple)
Not only is this a beautiful pound cake, but it’s an awesome way to take advantage of citrus season while we’re still in the throes of winter.

Bourbon Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies (Eclectic Recipes)
I want to eat a dozen of these cookies immediately. Immediately.

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts and Bacon Fettuccine Alfredo (Half Baked Harvest)
This looks absolutely phenomenal! Bacon and creamy alfredo sauce is a surefire way to get me to eat my veggies!

Creamy Tomato Tortellini Soup (Two Peas and Their Pod)
A bowl of this soup is going on my menu as soon as we get back home. A perfect winter lunch!

Vanilla Bean Rice Pudding with Raspberries and Salted Caramel (Taste and Tell)
The combination of raspberries and salted caramel with rice pudding sounds to-die-for. So pretty!

Have a delicious weekend!
