Book Selection for May: Food Matters by Mark Bittman

I hope that everyone enjoyed Freedom by Jonathan Franzen over the last two months! It’s time for a new book selection and since it worked so well last time, I’ve decided that I’m going to let the random generator pick books from now on. One less thing to make a decision about! This time Random.org spit out #26, which is Food Matters by Mark Bittman.

I have had this book on my reading list since I watched Food Inc. back in December. To say that the documentary was eye-opening would be the understatement of the century and I have made significant changes to my grocery shopping and eating habits as a result. This book by Mark Bittman talks about how the food we are eating is not only unhealthy, but also damaging to the environment, and describes how we can work to make changes.

I am definitely looking forward to this one, and can’t wait to discuss it! Who else will be reading along this month?
