Welcome to Day 12 of the “12 Days of Giveaways”! Our last day!

It’s the last day of holiday giveaways here on BEB, and I wanted to send you into the Christmas season with a bang! I held out on buying an iPad for years after they were introduced, finally buying one nearly two years ago. I couldn’t believe how much I used it, and wished that I had gotten one much sooner! It’s perfect for car trips – from watching videos to playing games – and I LOVE using it in the kitchen. A smartphone is typically too small for following along with a recipe, and I get nervous having my laptop too close to liquids, the stove and other kitchen land mines, so the iPad is perfect. Apple recently came out with the ultra-slim iPad Air, and I am giving one away! Read below for details on how to enter to win!

One lucky winner will receive a 16GB iPad Air, in the color of their choice.

My favorite Christmas tradition is driving by this over-the-top decorated house on our way home from church on Christmas Eve night. I mean, it is ridiculous (in the news and everything!). They have their lights synced up to Christmas music, so it’s like watching a show!

The night after we buy our Christmas tree (always live, never artificial), my husband and I break out our dorkiest versions of ourselves with matching Christmas pjs, santa hats and Gluhwein to decorate the tree and house. Now that we have a 2-year old, he’s in on the fun as well. For one night, the cheesier, the better!

My favorite Christmas tradition is making buckeyes (originally from Ohio) with my son. We’ve been doing it together since he was a toddler, and he’s now 27. His teachers used to covet them during the holidays, then his various friends, and now co-workers. We’ve spent a lot of time perfecting our recipe and decorating them to look like they are snow capped, rather than the traditional buckeye shape. Making buckeyes with my son at the beginning of the holiday season starts it off just right.
