The Weekend Dish: 11/3/2012

Welcome to the weekend!

I hope that all of you have had a good week and that you’ve been able to stay safe and warm in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. I saw one glimpse of the sun yesterday, and then it retreated back to wherever it has been hiding for the last week. I hope that it comes out in full force sometime soon and helps to dry things out. I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is less than three weeks away; it’s time to start thinking about the menu! Do you have any favorite Thanksgiving dishes, or recipes you’d like to see featured in the weeks leading up to the holiday? Share them below!

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy!

What I Bookmarked This Week

Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like too:

Banana Chocolate Cake with Cream Cheese Dulce de Leche Frosting (Portuguese Girl Cooks)
I adore banana cake, and this combination of flavors sounds divine. This needs to appear in my kitchen sooner rather than later!

Chocolate Nutter Butter Cake (Foodie With Family)
Yes to this, a thousand times over! I could demolish this all on my own.

Cinnamon Roll Bundt Cake (Bakers Royale)
This is one of the most genius cakes I’ve ever seen. And I have every intention of eating it for breakfast.

Cookies and Cream Popcorn (Heather Christo Cooks)
I fell in love with chocolate-covered popcorn after my mom bought me a bag for Easter quite a few years ago. I love the idea of a cookies and cream version; I can only imagine how delicious it is!

Homemade Tootsie Rolls (A Cozy Kitchen)
I love DIY candy projects and can’t wait to make these!

What was the best thing you ate this week??

Have a delicious weekend!

I wing it on Thanksgiving because it’s just my Husband and I. I make turkey, potatoes and stuffing. Thats it! Boring!

Thank you for including me in this! I wish I could bring you a slice so I didn’t demolish the whole thing myself, but sadly it’s too late. Ahem.
