The Weekend Dish: 4/19/2014
Happy weekend to you!
If you are celebrating Easter tomorrow, surely you are knee-deep in meal prep, or Easter egg dye, or maybe you’re just taking a minute to enjoy some blissful weather if you’re lucky enough to have some sunshine this weekend. We are celebrating the holiday tomorrow at my mom’s with extended family, so today I am making my grandma’s bacon and cheese Easter bread, as well as dessert for tomorrow. I brainstormed for awhile, and finally decided on a big trifle version of this punch bowl cake. I love trifles when there are a lot of people to feed, and the flavors in this dessert just screamed spring to me. I’m excited for dinner!
