The Weekend Dish: 5/17/2014
Happy Saturday to you!
The Weekend Dish was on a temporary hiatus while I was vacationing the last two weekends, but it’s back! Catching up on all of my blog reading this week left me with a serious Chipotle craving after perusing all of the Cinco de Mayo recipes. Burrito, anyone?
It’s been incredibly rainy here this week, which has been awesome for our newly-planted grass after having our yard dug up, but I’m anxiously waiting to break-in our new fire pit! Once this weather breaks, I see a lot of s’mores in my future. I hope you have a great weekend ahead of you!
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy!
On Brown Eyed Baker This Week
Salted Peanut Butter Cup Chocolate Chip Cookies – These might be my most favorite cookies EVER. You have to make them!
Homemade Cheez-Its – Can you believe these only have FIVE ingredients?! So easy and totally delicious.
Almond Joy Cookie Bars – All of the yummy flavors of an Almond Joy candy bar baked right into a blondie.
The Best Twice Baked Potatoes – Awesome fluffy mashed potatoes stuffed back into potato skins, covered with cheese and bacon, and baked once more. Yummmm!
Friday Things – A return from vacation, some new favorite products, and I’m looking for book recommendations!

What I Bookmarked This Week
Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like, too:
Frozen Hot Fudge and Peanut Butter Swirled Pretzel Macarons (Half Baked Harvest)
I never quite jumped on the macaron bandwagon, but this chocolate/peanut butter/pretzel version is enough to make me dive in head-first.
Pineapple Crumb Cake (Bake or Break)
LOVE this idea! It looks so fresh.
Ultimate Grilled Cheese with Bacon Jam (Taste and Tell)
This sandwich has my name written all over it. Bacon and ooey, gooey cheese? Yes, please!
Whipped Coconut Cream (Shutterbean)
This is so simple and brilliant; it would be fabulous with fresh fruit during the summer.
Have a delicious weekend!
