The Weekend Dish: 7/23/2011

I can’t believe it’s already closing in on the end of July; where has the summer gone?! I enjoyed a ball game at sold-out PNC Park last night; although we lost it was so much fun to see so many people in the stands. Also, if you’re from around Pittsburgh and a beer drinker, you must check out the IC Light Mango. Although perhaps sacrilegious to my hometown, I’m not a big Iron City or IC Light fan, but the mango version was flat-out delicious. Big thumbs up! I hope all of you are having a great weekend!

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy! 🙂

What I Bookmarked This Week

Recipes from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like too:

Pretzel S’mores (Love From the Oven)
These are so cute! Chocolate and marshmallows melted between two pretzel, then the whole thing covered in chocolate. Love!

Rocky Road Fudge (Budget Bytes)
I love how easy this fudge recipe looks to be – no thermometer is a definite plus!

Root Beer Float Ice Cream (Eat Your Vegetables)
Oh my, must have this! I love everything root beer float-related.

Rum Punch with Ginger Beer & Pineapple Juice (Cookin’ Canuck)
I love me some rum punch and I can only imagine how delicious it would be with ginger beer and pineapple juice!

Sweet Potato Beer Fries (The Edible Perspective)
Sweet potato fries are soaked in beer before baked; that sounds amazing!

Have a delicious weekend!
