Michelle,
I hope you finally start feeling well again! I admire you for continuing to post even thought you’re not feeling well. Thank you for serving your community so well. All the best for a from-here-on-out-speedy recovery!
This has been a very rough year for colds, flu, virus, and everything in between and worse. Daughter and family of 3 boys in VA all took turns with an intestinal bug, and bronchitis is hitting it big here in Las Vegas. Some nice tea with lemon and honey always comforts and good old home made chicken soup helps. Sure miss my Tom Tucker mint ginger ale. Â Reminds me of my Babas (grandmas). Rest as much as you can and feel better. Your site is my favorite mix of super recipes and great family stories. Makes me miss my Burgh. Be well.
I’m sorry to hear you’re still sick.  I wonder if you have had the flu.  Did they check you for that when you had your strep screen?  There are antiviral medications that shorten  the duration of influenza but they have to be started at the early onset of symptoms to be effective. Just an FYI for the future although let’s hope the information is never needed.  Please rest and pamper yourself.  Here’s wishing you feel better soon!Â
Thanks Marla! The doctor didn’t think it was the flu since I had a flu shot early in the fall and I never had a temperature higher than 99.9. Thank you for the tip though, I’ll remember it for the future (although I hope I never need it!).
