The Weekend Dish: 11/28/2015
Happy post-Thanksgiving, last-Saturday-in-November!
I hope you had a great holiday on Thursday! I am still stuffed! That’s not stopping me, however, from eating leftover pecan pie. It works out incredibly well that I prefer pecan pie and my husband prefers pumpkin; there’s no overlapping when it comes to digging into leftover pie! Did you do any black Friday shopping yesterday? We stayed home and got started on some outside decorating since the weather was so nice!
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!
On Brown Eyed Baker This Week
Sweet Corn Spoon Bread – This riff on the popular JIFFY corn casserole includes an extra egg, which gives this version a creamy, almost souffle-like consistency.
Malted Pretzel Crunch – This malted pretzel crunch is quick and easy and the ultimate sweet/salty snack! Keep a batch of this on hand for the holidays, or package it up and give it away as gifts!
Thanksgiving Leftover Ideas – A roundup of recipes to use up those Thanksgiving leftovers!
