The Weekend Dish: 11/8/2014

Helloooo Saturday!

I guess it’s inevitable given that the holidays are only a few weeks away and my due date is only a couple of months away, but it feels like our weeks lately have been jam-packed and flying by! I’m hoping to finalize our Thanksgiving menu this weekend, as well as get a few things done around the house. I’m also holding out for some snowflakes; we were supposed to have some yesterday and apparently there were some in our area, but never at my house! Bring it on!

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy!

What I Bookmarked This Week

Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like, too:

Bloomin’ Baked Potato (The Gunny Sack)
These loaded baked potatoes look utterly fantastic. I could make an entire meal of one (or two!).

Buttermilk Spice Layer Cake with Brown Sugar Cream Cheese Frosting (The Baker Chick)
I love sky-high layer cakes and fluffy frosting, and this one is totally calling my name!

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake with Brownie Crust (Bake or Break)
Believe it or not, I’ve never had a chocolate chip cheesecake! This needs to change ASAP and pairing it with a brownie crust sounds absolutely to die for.

Streusel Pumpkin Pie (Cooking Classy)
I can honestly say I’ve never had pumpkin pie topped with anything other than whipped cream! I love the idea of contrasting the creamy pie with a crunchy topping.

Thai Crunch Brussels Sprouts (How Sweet It Is)
This looks so fresh and delicious; I’m thinking it might have to replace my regular boring lunchtime salads this week.

Have a delicious weekend!
