Watermelon-Peach Slushies
I am officially all-in on watermelon right now. It all started a couple of weeks ago when we had our parents over for some grilling and my mom asked what she could bring. Since we were grilling steaks, I wanted to keep the rest of the meal light, so on a whim, I told her a fruit salad. She showed up with the biggest fruit salad known to man – it was packed with watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, pineapple and mango. Since then, I’ve been keeping a big bowl of fruit salad in the fridge and have been eating it pretty much non-stop. I can’t get enough!
I was flipping through an old issue of Donna Hay and saw a page on summer fruit drinks. Watermelon and peach slushie? Yes, please!
My version is an alcohol-free drink, perfect for serving if you have kids at a picnic. If you prefer a spiked version, I provide directions for that, too :) These are cool, refreshing, and taste every bit like summer. Some muddled mint would be a fabulous addition, as well!
If I had a hammock, I would spend my summer days lounging and sipping on these drinks!

What a great combination of watermelon and peach. I will definitely try this one. Thank you for sharing :)
can u use a lemon lime soda instead of club soda??not a big fan of club soda
Hi Paula, Yes absolutely!
Delicious! I used 3 fresh peeled peaches instead of the juice, and used a cup of lemonade/lemon soda instead of the sugar and it was so refreshing. The perfect drink for a hot Australian summers day
This sounds fabulous! I can’t wait to try it!
I bet it would be good with peach moonshine or possibly sweet tea vodka (there’s a local distillery close to me that makes both).
It is already over 100 degrees here where I’m at. I could really use a nice refreshing slushie like these! Looks Perfect!
Watermellon and peach – a great combination of flavors! Thanks for the fun & easy recipe.
Watermelon is my favorite part about summer. Around here it gets so hot it is all that I crave in the mornings!
great flavors of summer!
Hi Michelle. Can these drinks be made ahead of time? Also, would you store them in the refrigerator or the freezer? Thanks in advance!
Hi Mia, I wouldn’t make this too far in advance, as the “slush” will turn watery. If you do them a bit in advance, I would keep them in the refrigerator, you don’t want them totally frozen (although if you use the alcohol, that should keep it from freezing totally). Another idea, if you want to store the mixture in the freezer, is you could scoop it into glasses and top with a ginger ale or Fresca, like a true alcohol slush.
Looks like a super refreshing virgin bellini and I’d like 5 glasses of it asap! Maybe I should have planted watermelon in the garden this year…
beautiful photos AND these drinks look fantastic!!
These look great! Love the color.
I think I’ll just lounge on my chair and pretend like I’m at a sunny beach, in a hammock sipping this beauty! This looks SOOOOOO good!
This looks so refreshing!! Can’t wait to sit by pool and enjoy one!
Looks delicious!!!
If you are still in a mood for watermelon you can try my recipe for a Chilled watermelon-tomatoe soup.
Greeting!
What a refreshing summer drink, perfect for a nice, hot day in the sun. :)
I just had frozen watermelon for the first time this week, and decided I have seriously been missing out. This looks fantastic…both versions! Can’t wait to try!
These look so good and combine two of my favorite fruits!
This looks Amazing! I love watermelon and this combo is just perfect. i definitley have to try this A.S.A.P! Not only does it look delicious its also very pretty, it looks like it would look perfect on a table set for a summer brunch. Just had to let you know i am in love with this recipe and absolutely love your blog!
I’ve not tried watermelon with peaches, but that sounds sooo yummy! With the Fl heat, I could go for about eleventy million of these beautiful beverages right about now! Pinned!
Michelle this looks so refreshing!!…is peach juice easy to find? I don’t think I’ve ever seen it at the grocery store. I guess you can throw a chopped peach in the blender for the peachy flavor goodness.
Hi Terry, At my store there are tons of different peach-flavored juices… white peach juice, peach/mango juice, peach/white cranberry, peach/pineapple, etc. You can use whatever you find, or substitute another fruit flavor if you like.
This flavour combo is AWESOME! Love these!
What!? Yes!! I wanna make it and spike it. I might trade the peach schnapps for amaretto though?!!
Beautiful, Michelle! I posted peach slushies on my blog over the weekend. I love that you used watermelon, too! Pinned!
From one Donna Hay fan to another – Hi from Australia.
I’ve got peaches, I’ve got watermelon, and I’ve got to try this. Love it!
