The Weekend Dish: 1/13/2018
Happy snowy Saturday to you!
Are you in the path of this latest snowstorm? We started to get sleet and ice last night and the snow is supposed to go through late morning today. We’re planning to hibernate and watch hockey and football all the live long day. If you’re getting nasty weather, I hope you stay safe and warm!
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!
On Brown Eyed Baker This Week
Spinach Artichoke Dip – This spinach artichoke dip is easy, super cheesy, and perfect for your next party. Serve it in a bread bowl or with your favorite chips or crackers.
Chili Con Carne – This version of chili con carne is made with chunks of beef and a homemade chili paste. A great change of pace from chili made with ground beef!
Friday Things – Dominic’s 15-month checkup, interesting links, Ina Garten, the olympics, and more…

What I Bookmarked This Week
Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like, too:
These Instant Pot Korean Beef Tacos were the inaugural meal I made in my new Instant Pot, and we LOVED them! The meat was fall-apart tender in only 45 minutes. Can’t wait to work on more recipes!
Totally saving this icebox chocolate eclair cake for summer.
Chocolate trifles for two would be a perfect Valentine’s Day dessert.
I’ve never made salisbury steak and I can’t wait to try this version.
Perfect vanilla cheesecake? It sure looks like it!
Have a delicious weekend!
thank you for all of these, will have to put them to good use, always in for chili, there’s so many different ways to make it that I’m always ready to try a new recipe, and red velvet poke cake, wow!
Michelle…thanks SO much for bookmarking my Chocolate Eclair Cake recipe. It’s…to die for (according to my testers), but you can be the judge of that ;) Happy 2018 to you and keep bringing the awesome!
The salisbury steak looks good, though the dijon seems out of place to me. Â I think I’d substitute tomato paste. Â This reminds me that I haven’t made Swiss steak in a very long time. Â
