The Weekend Dish: 10/22/2016

Happy weekend to you!

All of a sudden, we’ve been totally thrust into fall weather… it poured here for nearly two days straight and we have a high in the FORTIES today. That’s sheer insanity, but I will most definitely take it. I’m ready for cozy sweatshirts and big blankets! What do you have going on this weekend? Tell me your plans! I’ll be hunkered down at home trying to soothe a newborn and entertain a toddler :)

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!

What I Bookmarked This Week

Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like, too:

Better No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars (The Recipe Rebel)
I’m happy to be a taste tester for all of the chocolate peanut butter bars out there, starting with this recipe right here.

Creamy Tortellini Soup with Italian Sausage (Gimme Some Oven)
It’s been raining for nearly two days straight, and this would be absolutely perfect fall comfort food right now!

Pumpkin Slab Pie (Sally’s Baking Addiction)
I’ve never considered pumpkin pie in anything other than a traditional pie plate, but this slab pie is seriously GENIUS, especially if you’re going to be serving a crowd for Thanksgiving.

Slow Cooker General Tso’s Chicken (Creme de la Crumb)
General Tso’s is my go-to Chinese takeout order, so I’m totally intrigued by this slow cooker version.

Snickers Peanut Butter Brownie Ice Cream Cake (Life, Love and Sugar)
My goodness, this is one epic cake. I wish it were in my freezer right now!

Have a delicious weekend!
