The Weekend Dish: 8/20/2016
Happy happy Saturday!
I hope you all had an amazing mid-August week and that you’re loving every minute of these days of summer. I’m thrilled that it’s going to start cooling down slightly here (highs in the 70’s!) next week – it will make being outside much more enjoyable! I still can’t believe that my due date is only a little over 6 weeks away.
I feel like I need to do ALL THE THINGS immediately, like get the baby’s room ready, purge and organize every room in my house, and stock my freezer with some of my must-have’s. And of course, get everything for the blog ready to go on semi-autopilot so I can take a little maternity leave once the little guy arrives. If someone could add at least 12 more hours to every day, that would be awesome. Please and thank you :)
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!
On Brown Eyed Baker This Week
Rustic Italian Bread – This Italian bread recipe takes some time to come together, but the hard crust and chewy bread are 100% worth it.
Baking Basics: Converting Pan Sizes – A handy chart of the dimensions and volumes for the most common pan sizes.
Copycat Krispy Kreme Doughnuts – A copycat recipe for Krispy Kreme doughnuts – they’re light, airy and covered in a barely-there glaze.
Jeni’s Milkiest Chocolate Ice Cream – The famous “milkiest chocolate ice cream” from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams – it’s egg-free, rich, and has the most amazing chocolate flavor!
