It's time for monthly favorites!

Here is everything we've used and loved latelyโ€ฆ

Food

Built Barsย - I am still loving the chocolate chip cookie dough chunk puff Built bars for an easy snack or quick breakfast. They just came out with a new puff bar flavor – Salted Caramel – it is AH-MAZING!!! Highly, highly recommend!

Chobani Apple Pie a la Mode – I saw these at Aldi and grabbed one on a whim; oh my goodness, this is DELICIOUS.

Clothes/Beauty

Method Simply Nourish Body Wash – I have been using this body wash for years but realized I don’t think I’ve ever shared it. It feels moisturizing without being heavy and has a wonderful light, clean scent that isn’t overpowering.

Books

I’ve read a few books that I’ve loved since we last talked! Here they are:

Heart Bones – Might be my favorite Colleen Hoover book that I’ve read so far!

Husbands and Lovers – This felt a tiny bit like Before We Were Yours; really enjoyed the parallel storylines and how they were intertwined.

The God of the Woods – I absolutely could not put this down; so suspenseful!

House

Puzzle Boardย - This puzzle board continues to be in constant use in our house! It’s a great way to keep a puzzle out all the time; little hands inevitably wander over and try to find some pieces.

OxiClean MaxForce Laundry Stain Remover Spray – Okay, I have long been a fan of the OxiClean gel sticks, however, over the last few months I’ve noticed that it’s pulled color from a few shirts I’ve used it on. I grabbed this spray while I was looking for something else to try and I have found it to be absolutely outstanding at getting rid of stains. I did a side by side on a pair of white shorts Isabelle was wearing when she sat in wet mulch. I treated one side with the gel stick and the other with the spray; the side with the spray came out completely clean, while the side I used the gel stick on still had stain on them. The spray also takes grass stains and infield dirt completely out of Dominic’s baseball pants; they look brand new when they come out of the wash. Highly recommend!

Kids

Lolleez Throat Soothing Pops – I started buying these last year when the kids had sore throats, and especially for Isabelle, they are a good alternative to cough drops or throat lozenges.

JCrew Factory Girls Anywhere Jeans – All of the kids needed new jeans for the fall/winter and these were a homerun for Isabelle… they fit her perfectly, and she said they are super comfortable (AND she’s put them on multiple times which is huge considering she spent all of last year saying how much she couldn’t stand jeans and never wearing them).

Old Navy Slim 360 Stretch Jeans for Boys – And these are the jeans that were a perfect fit for both of the boys, which is honestly a bit of a miracle because they have such different builds. Such a great value!

Columbia Rainy Trails Fleece-Lined Jacket – Going into the spring, Dominic needed a new rain jacket, and this proved to be a huge winner. Completely waterproof, cozy without being too bulky, and a great fit. I got the girl’s version for Isabelle, too.

Books – I wanted to share a few books that the kids have loved lately: Isabelle is really into chapter books right now and loves the Sophie Mouse series, The Boxcar Children, and last week checked out Ginger Pye from the school library and loves it. Dominic’s favorites lately have been 5-Minute Star Wars Stories and lots of Berenstain Bears books. Joseph, meanwhile, gobbled up these books from the “Childhood of Famous Americans” series (I think there are 71 total books in the series!): Roberto Clemente, Babe Ruth, and Joe DiMaggio. He also read The One and Only Ivan for summer reading and really liked it.
