1. Week before last, Dominic and I took a very quick trip to NY for him to have a 3-month scan; his oncologist called on our way back home and said the scan looked fantastic. He is still disease-free and will continue to do rounds of immunotherapy every 4-6 weeks as maintenance. He will have scans again after three more cycles. Thank you all for your continued prayers for him; it’s been so wonderful to see him at school and enjoying normal activities (at this point, he doesn’t even need to go into clinic for labs between treatment weeks, so things feel very normal outside of the immunotherapy weeks).

2. Our kids enjoyed a fun Halloween together, dressing up as Clark Kent, She-ra, and the Mandalorian:

3. From a James Clear newsletter:

“Are you willing to be uncomfortable for 5 minutes?

Exercising is easier once you’ve started the workout.
Conversation is easier once you’re already talking.
Writing is easier once you’re in the middle of it.

But many rewards in life will elude you if you’re not willing to be a little uncomfortable at first.”

4. Over the last year or so, I have tried no less than three different blow dryer brushes and continued to be disappointed by each and every one, until I tried the L’ange Le Volume a little over a month ago. I was amazed; it’s the closest I can get my hair to looking like it’s just been freshly washed and blown out at the salon. AND it was the least expensive of all the ones I tried!

5. I found this article about how social activities have continued to decline since the 1970’s absolutely fascinating (and sad!) >> You Are No Longer Invited to Dinner

6. And while we’re talking about “the good ol’ days”, I don’t think I actually realized they weren’t a thing anymore until I read this article (oh the thrill when the one you were holding would finally go off!) >> I Miss the Restaurant Pager

7. I got our Thanksgiving turkey ordered! Are you starting to plan your menu yet? What are the things you ALWAYS make? We’re excited to be back hosting after not being able to last year due to Dominic’s low counts. Here’s a sneak peek at many of the things we make year after year >> Our Thanksgiving Menu

8. The kids have wrapped up their cross country (boys) and softball (Isabelle) seasons, and now they are ALL onto basketball (and hockey, but hockey spans fall AND winter 🙃).

9. Are you decorating for Christmas yet? We usually wait until closer to the middle/end of November, but my husband started getting the lights strung on the windows and it’s made us all so happy!!

10. TGIF! The queen of our house wishes you a wonderful weekend! 🩷
