A Big, Big, BIG Announcement!!
Einstein and Duke have some very exciting news to share…

The BEB family is expanding, and no, we are not getting another dog ;-)
WE’RE HAVING A BABY!!!
I am 14 weeks todayย and little (two-legged)ย baby brother or sister is due to arrive around January 12, 2015. We are SOย excited and I’ve been dying to tell you all!
No crazy cravings yet, and only one specific food aversion. You may have noticed a drop off in recipes containing, of all things… chocolate. Ugh! I can do a little chocolate if it’s in something else, like a chocolate swirl in ice cream, or a peanut butter cup (!), but forget about things like chocolate ice cream, cake or brownies. I haven’t wanted it at all, and when I do eat just a little bit, I feel sick. What a bummer, I hope this passes!

Aside from some nausea during weeks 6-10, the only other really negative symptom I’ve had is some mind-numbing exhaustion. Holy crap, some days I was almost in tears just because I was SO TIRED. I’ve never been much of aย napper (well, since college, anyway!), but napping has become an almost daily occurrence for me. Some days I know I need to go lay down and sleepย for awhile, and others I just randomly pass out on the couch.
On a positive note, I finally have the beginnings of a bump! I was so excited to start seeing a belly show up :)
(Apologies for the dog hair all over my shirt – the pups areย shedding like crazy right now and I was hugging them before we took this picture.)
I’ll certainly be keeping you updated as things move along, and am so excited to finally share this news with you! โค๏ธ

I apologize for taking such a long time to congratulate you on your little miracle. I visit your blog EVERY day, but have only posted one other time, so I couldn’t believe I didn’t at least say something. I think you’ll be a fantastic mother, and at least you’ll know how to cook! lol. I’m raising four children myself, and while it’s the most challenging job in the world, it’s also the most rewarding. Here’s to creating a lifetime of memories, and passing down beautiful traditions. :) Congratulations again, to you both.
My daughter is due with her second child on January 11th. Right now she pretty much sleeps 18 hours a day. Nothing tastes good to her, even if she was craving it. Hopefully that stage will pass soon. She will find out the sex of the baby by mid-August. Congratulations Michelle, I’ve been following you for years, but slacked off when I was diagnosed with celiac disease six months ago. It was torture seeing all the beautiful photos of food I will never be able to make without turning myself inside out trying to recreate a gluten free version. My you have a joyous pregnancy!
congratulations !
Congratulations!
I am so excited for you! I’m pregnant right now, too. Only a few weeks ahead of you. Just curious, are you still going to get your Stitch Fix while you’re pregnant? I’ve been following your blog for quite awhile now and decided to try it recently, but obviously, I’m pregnant. (I’m getting my first Fix in the next few days.) I put down that I’m pregnant in my information, but I’m just wondering if the Stitch Fix experience has been the same for you, pregnant or not pregnant.
Hi Rachael, Thank you so much and congratulations to you! I am still getting my StitchFix. So far, I’ve been really specific about my notes and requests and it has worked out well for me. I’ve asked for no pants(!), and maxi-style skirts and dresses for the summer that are flowy and can grow with me, and/or layering pieces to move into fall, and accessories. So far it has been good! My advice would just be really specific about what you want and what you don’t want.
LOVE it. What a great way to publicize the big BIG event! Congratulations!
