The Weekend Dish: 11/10/2018
Happy weekend to you!
I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away already! Granted, it falls on the absolute earliest possible day this year, but it totally snuck up on me this year. Today I’m spending the day in the kitchen working on a couple of new recipes that I hope to bring to you for Christmas! I’ll probably be doing so in fleece pajamas pants, fleece socks, and my coziest hoodie because it’s going to be COLD here today! What are you up to this weekend?!
As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!

Hi Michelle.  I’ve made your panettone recipe several times.  I like some others  on this board have trouble getting the panettone to rise like  in the picture.  How can I get mine to rise?  What am I doing wrong?  Any suggestions?
Hi Mary, Make sure you are using fresh yeast and that your air temperature isn’t TOO cold (it should be at least 68-70 degrees).
Is the recipe for your beef roast on your site? Â Thanks !
Hi Marla, It’s not yet; I’ll be posting it sometime in December for holiday meal planning :)
I encourage you to make that cranberry-apple slab pie ASAP. Â I made it last year for one of my Thanksgiving dessert offerings and it. was. delicious.! Â You will love it! Â Quick and easy too.
Oooh thanks for the review!! It looks so good!
