1. I love the friendship that these two have formed over the last year or two… they’ve become so close and it makes my heart so happy 💙 (This was the morning that Dominic and I were leaving to go to New York a few weeks ago and Joseph was headed off to school.)

2. Next week, Dominic will have an outpatient surgical procedure to remove his central line. This is such a big step for him, and he is SO excited; please keep him in your prayers that the procedure goes well and that he heals easily.

3. Isabelle’s reading has absolutely exploded over the last few months and watching her read is such a joy. And also, how did her legs get so long??!

4. Speaking of reading, when Joseph was in pre-k, his school would send home sight words on index cards every couple of weeks for the kids to practice. We taped them to the wall in the playroom so he could go over them, then as Dominic and Isabelle got older, they wanted to start learning them, too. Well, we realized last weekend that Isabelle clearly knew all the words on that wall and that they could come down. They were up there for over four years, so bittersweet!

5. I finished reading Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and gosh, I know it was a really popular book, but it started slow for me. About halfway through, I thought it was getting good, but then I felt like it jumped the shark, and I just did not care for the last third of the book or the ending. But! I finally started The Women by Kristin Hannah and am already loving it.

6. I can’t believe we’re changing clocks already this weekend! I love how much the kids love the longer days when the weather is nice, but I will say it each and every year – Team Standard Time forever!

8. Saw this in a James Clear newsletter and wanted to save it:

“In theory, consistency is about being disciplined, determined, and unwavering.

In practice, consistency is about being adaptable. Don’t have much time? Scale it down. Don’t have much energy? Do the easy version. Find different ways to show up depending on the circumstances. Let your habits change shape to meet the demands of the day.

Adaptability is the way of consistency.”

9. We finished watching Monsieur Spade and are now watching Reign (Amazon Prime), which is different from our usual British crime drama 😂 but we’re enjoying it.

10. TGIF! This is how Duke looks at me when the kids play downstairs in the basement. He usually heads down there shortly after the stare; I think he feels like there needs to be someone down there supervising, so he takes it upon himself to do it 😍
