Friday Things #517
1. I love Isabelle’s curls in this picture!!
2. Last weekend, Dominic got to play his very first dek hockey game! He has been waiting for the day he could play sports and, more specifically, play goalie. His first game was in the pouring rain (it was just the day before he was cleared for showers after his line removal surgery) and he had a shutout! I was so nervous for him, but so thrilled that it turned out to be a great game. I am so, so happy for him and thrilled that he can enjoy being a carefree kid.
3. The kids are on a nice long break, and anytime they have a school break, I feel like it’s sort of a break for me, too 😍
4. After finishing The Women last week, I began reading The Last Mrs. Parrish, which had me hooked pretty quickly; I’m about halfway through and can’t wait to see what happens!
5. This reminder is a helpful perspective shift >> Imagine It’s Your Last Year: What Would You Do Differently?
6. If you’re looking for a kid-friendly Easter dessert, this dirt dessert is always a huge hit! You can even layer them in individual cups to make serving easy.
7. I love this (from a James Clear newsletter): “Some people get addicted to chain-smoking their problems. They spend all day going from sorrow to sorrow. It doesn’t have to be that way. You can live each day going from joy to joy—like a sunflower that turns to face the sun as it moves across the sky. It’s not about having a problem-free life, but about focusing on the light. Sunflowers still have shadows, but they are always behind them.”
8. Baseball season is starting! I’m ready for some ballpark food :)
9. Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday weekend! If you are heading out of town, wishing you safe travels!
10. TGIF! Love snuggling with this pup!
Love that rain jacket! Just found it for sale at Kohls: Fantastic boy bargain at $16.25

Yesterday my bookclub read The Housemaid and I racked my brain trying to recall a book I read that was so similar. Today I read your Friday blog and there it is The Last Mrs. Parrish! Thank you for putting my brain to rest!
Michelle,
May you and your family have a very happy, healthy and blessed Easter! So many reasons for you to celebrate this year, and I am so grateful that Joseph, Dominic, and Isabelle are thriving. From Einstein, to children, Duke, Judith, unimaginable challenges, and incredible victories, it has been a privilege to share, cheer, cry, pray and celebrate remotely with you. May God continue to bless you al❣️
You could not have said it any better. I have been a “fan” for over ten years and truly enjoy the recipes, the family updates and the kindness and love that that can be found here.
Thank you so much, xo
Thank you so, so much for this beautiful comment. You made my day ❤️
