Friday Things #536

1. It doesn’t happen all the time, but we love seeing everyone engrossed in a book!
2. We still have a couple weeks left until school starts… do you (or did you) have any end of summer traditions with your kids?
3. Love this perspective so much:
“When you’re younger, it’s easy to underestimate how fleeting the days can be. Each choice matters. Each day matters.
When you’re older, it’s easy to underestimate how much opportunity you still have. Don’t talk yourself out of it. It’s never too late to start.”
4. YES! Life is so different than when we were kids >> How the Loss of the Landline Is Changing Family Life
5. I finished the “Blockbuster Era” jigsaw puzzle earlier this week! I thought it would take a long time, but it was quicker than I thought (and shout out to my beloved puzzle board, I love being able to spread out on there and organize the pieces in the drawers, it was such a perfect Christmas gift from my husband a few years ago!).
6. My next puzzle will probably be either “Evening Fishing” or “Dreamy Santorini“… have you done one lately?
7. Yesss to doing things at night to make the mornings feel more relaxed >> 10 Minutes to a Clutter-Free Morning
8. We’ve been having a blast watching the Olympics over here, the kids are so into it and it’s been so much fun.
9. We finished watching Grace (BritBox) this week, and then caught up on Mayor of Kingstown. What are you watching?
10. TGIF! LOVE when these two snuggle up :)

I love the picture of your children reading!!! I love to read. My grandson is only 4 months old and I have bought him so many books for us to enjoy! Love your dogs snuggling together!!
You’ve inspired me to get my puzzle board out and get back to work on my Farmers Market puzzle. I haven’t worked on it in awhile, but I need to. I love the Evening Fishing puzzle, it looks so pretty!
How lovely to see children reading books not looking downwards with fingers moving.I am an avid reader as a young girl growing up in England I would get at least three books each week from the library.Glad to see everyone looking well. Have a great week end.God Bless😊
can you please get rid of the black line across screen advertisements ? ugh thx
Hi Jane, I don’t see a black line anywhere on my screen, if you can take a screen shot of it and email me, I can have the folks that work on the website take a look. Thank you!
I’m waiting every Friday the picture. This is one very very good. For me it’s like in the next moment they stand up and knock my door I’m so happy every week to meet them.Let them to dream in their wonderful world of childhood.Have a nice period in last days of holidays!!
I wish to your family very nice days. ♥️♥️♥️
LOVED the article about the demise of landlines in our homes. So true! Thanks for sharing not only your lovely family events and moments, but also great tips, and references to interesting products, ideas, books, and of course recipes!
Love the pic of children relaxing and reading- so wonderful to see they sometimes choose books over screen time. I got a kick out of the Lost Landline article- never thought about it that way, but very true. I am old enough to remember Party Lines! Do your children create their own Olympic Challenges after watching them. I remember our two sons and their friends planning and “executing” various events themselves. Sometimes very entertaining!
Happy Weekend!
Loved the story about the land line.
Bit sad really that we are losing that anchor of our family base.thank you for sharing.
We live in Florida and seniors are getting land lines back. Its saved our live Hurricanes land lines only form of communication. Weeks on end with Andrew a deadly hurricance..
