It’s here! Thanksgiving week! Can you even believe it?!
Once Thanksgiving is in the rearview mirror, it’s officially time to start thinking about Christmas shopping. Or, maybe you’ve already started? The day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, definitely kicks off the shopping season, so I’m coming at you with another gift guide today to help get those gift ideas pumping (there will be more to come in the next couple of weeks!). In this guide you’ll find gift ideas for virtually anyone, from tech to cleaning, decor, pillows, and more, all at a variety of price points.
Enjoy browsing the guide and happy shopping!
iPad – I just upgraded to a Pro iPad last year and I love it; it makes working in the kitchen a breeze (no pinch and zooming on a phone or dragging a laptop into the kitchen). It’s powerful enough to do nearly all of my work from, and perfect for streaming or games (I’m partial to crossword puzzles!).
The Chit Chat Letterboard – I don’t have a letterboard yet, but I keep seeing so many cute uses on Instagram so I’m thinking of taking the plunge.
Yeti Rambler – I jumped on the Yeti bandwagon earlier this spring. After using Tervis for years, I wanted to move to stainless vs plastic. I was amazed at how ice cold it kept my water, and was sold immediately. I now own three and won’t drink water out of anything else. [Update: A number of commenters pointed out that Tervis now sells stainless steel tumblers as well, you can buy those here!]
Barefoot Dreams Throw Blanket – SO insanely soft and cozy! If I laid under this, I would never get up, and I would probably fall asleep in 2.2 seconds.
NEST Holiday Candle and Reed Diffuser Set – I adore this gift set because it makes it easy to layer scents – use a reed diffuser + a candle for the ultimate in holiday scents. Your house will smell amazing!
Roku – We gifted these to each of our parents a number of years ago; it’s a perfect solution for accessing streaming online services (like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc.), especially if you know someone who has cut the cord.
Wool Dryer Balls – My mom bought these for us a few Christmases ago, and we haven’t used fabric softener or dryer sheets since. They’re fantastic!
Sonos – We have used this sound system in two houses now and we LOVE it. We own this audio receiver as a central “hub” and have it connected to the built-in speakers in our downstairs and on the deck, a Sonos Play:5 speaker for our master bedroom/bathroom, and also have a Sonos One speaker in our garage. We’re able to play music from Sirius, Pandora, Spotify, virtually any other streaming service, and any music that’s on our devices. We’re hooked.
Apple TV – We don’t have an Apple TV, but sister has one and hasn’t used cable in years. She loves it!
Nest Learning Thermostat – Another product that has followed us in two houses now. There are so many customizations you can make to the settings, it’s phenomenal. We usually set it to maintain one temperature during the day and then switch to a different temperature at night. You can view and control everything from your phone.
Roomba – We splurged on a Roomba within a week of moving into our house in 2015; with all hardwood and tile on the first floor and two Golden Retrievers at the time, there were tumbleweeds of dog hair everywhere and we were vacuuming nearly everyday just to keep up with it. It is not at all cheap, but it has been SO.WORTH.IT for our house! We schedule it to run every night at midnight, after we’re all in bed, and it really helps to keep all of the fur at bay.
Dyson Cordless Vacuum Cleaner – BUT! We still need to use a regular vacuum to get the hair that clumps under chairs or in corners, and I LOVED my old Dyson; this cordless version sounds amazing.
My Pillow – A couple of years ago, I was having tons of headaches and neck pain, but never thought it could have been the pillow I was sleeping on until my in-laws bought me a My Pillow for my birthday. The headaches and neck pain went away and never came back! I’m such a huge fan of these pillows, and even brought it to the hospital with me when I had Dominic and Isabelle
Nest Hello Video Door Bell – We don’t have one of these, but I’m so tempted to get one! I love the idea for both the convenience and safety aspect.
Nugget Ice Maker – This ice maker has been taunting me since I first saw it on Amazon. It’s a splurge, but if you love that wonderful nugget ice (or know someone who does), then this would make the most amazing gift!
Simple Human Touch-Free Automatic Sensor Soap Pump – Earlier this year, I asked for recommendations on soap pumps and a lot of you recommended this hands-free model. I bought one for the kitchen and after having it for only a few days, ordered another one for the powder room. It’s seriously the best! I love not having to touch it, which is great in a messy kitchen, and also in a powder room where it gets a lot of use and we’re trying to combat germs constantly!
Sunbeam Heated Throw Blanket – If you’re always cold like me, then a heated blanket is a MUST in the wintertime. My grandma always had a heating pad on, and every time I see a heated blanket I think of her :)
The Night Sky Prints – I am in love with this idea! You can have custom prints made of the night sky at a certain location and on a certain date, i.e. a wedding day, birth of a baby, etc. SO cool!
TELL ME! What would you add to this list? I’m always looking for new ideas!
