Holiday Gift Guide: Gifts for the Home
Our Holiday Gift Guide for the Home features a variety of cozy essentials, tech gadgets, and more. I’ve used and loved these products for years and am excited to share them with you!
In this home gift guide, you’ll find gift ideas for anyone (even the hardest to shop for family members!) at a variety of price points.
Tech + Electronics
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K – We have a Fire Stick for each TV in our home and love them.
Nest Thermostat – A product that we fell in love with in our old house and brought with us to our current home. There are so many settings customizations and you can view/control everything from your phone. We usually set it to maintain one temperature during the day and switch to a different temperature at night.
Ring Video Doorbell – Love that you can always see who comes to the door.
Eufy Robot Vacuum – A fraction of the price of more popular brands, this vacuum works just as well, if not better. We schedule it to run every night after we’re all in bed and it really helps to keep the dog fur to a minimum.
Dyson Cordless Vacuum Cleaner – BUT! We still need to use a regular vacuum (life with Golden Retrievers!) and while our current home has a central vac system, Dyson was long my favorite “appliance” for keeping up with dog fur.
Bissell Little Green Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner – I know so many people who swear by this little machine! And they have a new Pro version, as well, which has a larger tank, superior suction, and deep stain removal capabilities.
Robot Vac/Mop Combo: We have the vacuum only version of this Eufy 2-in-1 Vacuum and Mop, and they also have a pro version with auto cleaning station that currently includes a $100 coupon.
Skylight Digital Picture Frame – An easy way to actually do something with all of the photos on your phone! This would be a wonderful gift option for grandparents, too.
Smart Switch – Use this smart switch to remotely turn on and off light switches and electronics in your home. We use them to program our outdoor lights to turn on around dusk.
Hatch Restore Sunrise Alarm Clock – This includes a reading light with adjustable colors, white noise, a gentle alarm, and even more features to help you get the best sleep possible.
Portable Bluetooth Speaker – This waterproof portable speaker has great sound and is super convenient to bring to any gathering.
Mini Projector – An awesome little Wi-Fi device that allows you to project a 100-inch picture inside or outside. Such a fun gadget to have for movie nights.
Wireless Charging Station – For someone who has all the electronic gadgets… this can charge your phone, watch, and air pods all at once.
Aro Box – A gorgeous closed-up charging station that pairs with an app that celebrates time spent away from your device.
Cozy and Comfortable
Woodwick Candles – We are totally addicted! The candle makes a crackling sound while it burns and the scents are UNBELIEVABLE. Our family-favorite scents are Frasier Fir, Crimson Berries, and Fireside.
Rechargeable Lighter – A great gift for lighting candles, as well as for camping, BBQ, and anytime you need a match.
Candle Warmer Lamp – Enjoy the glow and scent of candles without the open flame.
NEST Fragrances Reed Diffuser – These produce the most lovely scents! I love keeping one in a powder room for a fresh smell without a candle.
Barefoot Dreams Throw Blanket – Incredibly soft and cozy! They wash wonderfully, too.
Boll & Branch Sheets – The softest sheets EVER. We are on our second set!
YETI Rambler – I’ve been on the YETI bandwagon for over 5 years and haven’t looked back. I’m still amazed at how cold these cups keep my water! I have the 30-ounce cup in a few different colors and always have one filled up.
For Coffee & Tea Lovers
Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker – For your favorite iced coffee lover! An easy, mess-free way to have cold brew on hand all the time for a fraction of the cost of stopping at the coffee shop.
Breville Precision Coffee Maker – This is the coffee maker we have in our house; we love that you can make both a whole pot as well as a single cup.
Breville Smart Grinder Pro – And this is the coffee grinder that we have! A great gift for any coffee lover who prefers to buy whole beans and grind them at home.
Nespresso VertuoPlus Coffee and Espresso Machine – A fantastic way to make espresso or “fancier” coffee at home.
Milk Frother – A fun nice-to-have for someone who enjoys making coffees and lattes at home.
Ceramic Travel Coffee Mug – I’ve had my eye on these since I began drinking more coffee and realized I disliked the taste of coffee in a stainless steel thermos.
Electric Tea Kettle – I gifted this to my mom years ago as she’s an avid tea drinker and she loved it immediately.
For Book Lovers
Book Light – Perfect if you like to stay up late reading, and great for travel, too.
Book of the Month – This monthly subscription service curates a list of books and you choose the one you want sent to you. A great subscription to gift to someone who loves to read and find new books!
More Fun Recommendations!
Puzzle Board – My husband bought this for me a few years ago because I love doing large jigsaw puzzles, but they take over the dining room table. I LOVE this! I can start a puzzle and then move it if we need the space. The drawers are great for organizing pieces.
Wool Dryer Balls – I know… dryer balls? Trust me on this one! My mom bought these for us many Christmases ago and we haven’t used fabric softener or dryer sheets since. They’re a great stocking stuffer, too.
Camping and Sports Chair – If the person you’re shopping for spends any time outside, these portable chairs are amazing! They’re comfortable, roomy, and have two cupholders.
YETI Tundra 35 Cooler – Another great must-have for someone (or a couple!) who spends a lot of time outside or entertaining.
L.L.Bean Doormat – Durable, dries quickly, and great for indoor and outdoor use.
Cord Organizers – These are great for small kitchen appliances and would make a great stocking stuffer.
Double-Sided Screen Magnet – Years ago, Duke ran through our sliding screen door not once, but twice 😬 We kept it closed for the longest time to avoid it getting damaged again, and then my husband found these double-sided magnets. Since it’s a solid object on the screen, it allows dogs to recognize there is something there and not plow through the door. It has worked wonderfully! A great gift or stocking stuffer for a dog-lover on your list.
1000-Piece Jigsaw Puzzle – I love doing puzzles and a new one is a great gift for any puzzle-lover!

HAPPY SHOPPING!
I’m also on the bandwagon with My Pillow. No more neck pain! There’s an area on their site where you can see which pillow is best fir your individual needs. I also love the mini pillow, which I use on the couch, behind my neck. Their extra long “bath sheets,” are the best towels, & we also have their mattress topper.
I don’t know if I’m using them wrong, but the wool dryer balls I bought are doing absolutely NOTHING to control static. I had to go back to using dryer sheets.
OUT OF SUBJECT…
MY FRIENDS AND I WANT TO KNOW HOW LITTLE DOMINIC IS DOING.
ALSO, MY FRIENDS JOIN IN KEEPING FINGERS CROSSED HE’LL SPEND HOLIDAYS AT HIS SWEET HOME WITH HIS PRECIOUS FAMILY!
Thanks for the tip on the Eufy Robovac. I’ve been looking for one and didn’t realize that Eufy is a brand of Anker. Just picked up the 11s on Amazon for a great price and can hardly wait to use it.
I have a letter board and it’s fun. I bought mine off a Canadian company called Letter Board company
(https://letter-board-company.myshopify.com/)
Another cool company is Letterfolk (https://www.letterfolk.com/)
My husband loves the Nest thermostat.
We’re team Android over here so we have a Google Home and a few Google Home minis. Such much fun! My kids ask Google a million questions! We also have a few smart plugs for lamps that we can control with the Google Home. It also talks to our Nest thermostat.
My husband is always cold and he’s having hip surgery soon. I just ordered the electric throw blanket for him as an Xmas gift. Thanks for the great idea!
Great ideas! I love the night sky print. My hubs gave me a gift like this. It was a Dreamlines created sketch of my wedding dress and his suit. The detail was amazing.
The soap dispenser may prevent messes but it’s not an effective method of stopping the spread of germs in the powder room or elsewhere. If you want to stop the spread of germs, don’t touch the faucet handles/levers after you’ve washed your hands. You probably turned them on with your dirty hands, then put the soap on your hands and washed them, then turned the the faucets off with your clean hands. If you use a towel to dry your hands, it also has the germs from the faucet handles. Instead, dry your hands with a paper towel then use the paper towel to turn off the faucet. I suppose the other option would be just not to worry about it because it’s exposure to those germs that helps us develop resistance to them.
I used to have a Sunbeam heated throw, but it was slippery due to the fabric and I was looking for a better model. I moved on to the Biddeford heated throw with the Sherpa fleece that can be found in Target. A huge step up from Sunbeam. I can’t recommend it enough.
Thank you so much for sharing! That blanket sounds amazing, and for anyone else interested, I found the link to it here!
I think I’m one of the people who recommended that soap dispenser. I recently purchased two more! I’m trying to convince my parents about the Roomba. And I LOVE the idea of those prints. Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome, Laura! And yes, we love those soap dispensers! Also… GET THE ROOMBA!
Tervis now has stainless tumblers in a variety of sizes and designs (not just colors). I have 2 of them and love them.
I am a Tervis fan, also switched over to the stainless when they came out. They are great.
Thank you so much for letting me know, Terri! I wasn’t aware, so I’ve updated the post above so folks know :)
Some great ideas, thanks. I love my IPad in the kitchen. I use the Paprika app to organize my recipes so you keep me company while I’m cooking. The app is great because it stays functional while you’re using it, doesn’t go blank. I would have a hard time without you and my IPad in the kitchen.
I have to check out the Paprika app, thanks for sharing! And thank you for the kind words :)
You will love the app. You can download any recipe online quickly and easily. Also categorize, make notes, modify, and more. As you can tell, I love it. Don’t know what I would do with out it. Happy Thanksgiving- so glad your fridge is back.
